A new library, new adventures, and new library cards! 📚🏔️

Residents from Adara Oaks recently visited the beautiful new East County Library in Gresham for an afternoon of exploration and discovery. During the outing, every resident who wanted one successfully signed up for their own library card—opening the door to countless books, resources, and future visits.

The group also took time to enjoy the stunning views of Mt. Hood from the library's rooftop terrace, making for a memorable experience filled with conversation, curiosity, and connection.

We love creating opportunities that encourage lifelong learning, independence, and meaningful engagement in our community.

Great communities are built by great teams.
This week, members of our Culinary and Maintenance teams attended 2 Oregon Health Care Association events to learn, explore new ideas, and bring back fresh inspiration. From innovative products to practical solutions, every opportunity to grow helps us better serve our residents and communities.
We believe investing in our people is one of the most important investments we can make. We're excited to see these new ideas come to life in the months ahead.

Our residents and staff recently took a trip to a local garden center and made the most of it 🌿

From the scent of fresh herbs and blooming flowers to the variety of textures and colors, the experience offered rich sensory engagement at every turn. Residents enjoyed selecting plants, exploring the space, and connecting with the season in a hands-on way.

Outings like this support relaxation, spark conversation, and bring a sense of purpose as we prepare for the growing season ahead.

Our staff had such a wonderful time celebrating Easter with our residents! 🐰💛

From decorating eggs to wearing bunny ears and sharing lots of laughs, it was a day full of joy, connection, and sweet moments together. 🥚✨

Art comes in many forms, and our residents have been enjoying a variety of creative experiences—from painting and sand art to hands-on crafts and colorful design projects. Each activity offers an opportunity to explore creativity, try something new, and enjoy the process of making something unique.

Engaging in art can support overall wellbeing by encouraging relaxation, stimulating the mind, and providing a meaningful way to express thoughts and emotions. It also creates wonderful moments of connection as residents share ideas, inspiration, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Around here, creativity is always welcome—and the joy it brings is just as beautiful as the artwork itself.

Last week, we made sure to ring in the Lunar New Year with our residents by creating paper lanterns, learning about the year of the Fire Horse, and enjoying traditional teas! Happy New Year.
