Q: What questions should I ask during a senior living tour?

A: You want to ask questions about:
Day-to-day living such as: What time are the meals served? What types of activities are available? May I see a menu? Can my parents make their own choices about things?

Resident Care such as: How do you determine the number of staff members you schedule? How often do you assess the residents for care needs? How do you ensure that everything my parents require is provided? How do you handle medical emergencies?

Company policies such as: What are the move-out policies? How do you communicate with families?
Speak with current residents and their families to see how they like living there.
