Sun protect like a pro!

We all know about sunscreen, but what does your derm do to keep her skin looking so freakin’ young?!?🤣

Word’s out:

UPF Clothing- so easy a child could do it…in fact it’s great for kids too!

Hats- I sometimes wonder how I lived without one.

Sunglasses- great for protecting not only your eyes, but ALSO the skin around your eyes.

Supplements- polypodium leucotomos helps increase your “internal SPF” and niacinamide helps further combat harmful changes through antioxidant protection. I love because it’s a gummy and I’m terrible at taking pills, it tastes delicious and it’s safe for your kids to take too!
*supplements are not a substitute for SPF/UPF etc, but certainly up your game to Pro status😉

Tick season is in full swing!

I just had my first tick removal in clinic of the season, so let’s talk about how to minimize your chances of getting bit.

This will help minimize your chances of getting a tick borne illness as well!

✅Wear tick repellent: DEET 10-30% is effective. Lower % is fine for regular use, higher % is better for extended exposure (long hikes etc)

✅Keep DEET in the 10-20% range for kids, and don’t use it on kids
