There’s nothing better than enjoying a beautiful day outdoors!

Residents had a great time playing a dart game in the sunshine, sharing laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of encouragement along the way. Activities like these help promote hand-eye coordination, concentration, and movement while providing an enjoyable opportunity to socialize with friends.

Liz always knows how to put the fun into functional activities, creating engaging experiences that keep residents active, involved, and smiling. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with fresh air, good company, and lots of fun in the sun.

In recognition of National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, this week’s Spotlight Saturday shines on Alexandra Cinquanta, Speech-Language Pathologist at Complete Care at Groton Regency. πŸ’™

Alexandra earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose in 2023 and quickly discovered a passion for skilled nursing and long-term care.

From supporting communication and cognition to helping residents with safe swallowing, Alexandra plays an important role in helping residents maintain comfort, confidence, safety, and independence. Her clinical focus includes speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in the adult and geriatric population, always providing compassionate, evidence-based care while working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
