Anne Elizabeth (Page)Howe, passed away July 23, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Anne was born on June 24, 1952, in Boston, MA to Gordon and Elizabeth (Newell) Page. Anne grew up in Bedford, MA and attended school there before attending college in Radford, Virginia and Framingham State. Anne and her husband Richard were married in 1973 and eventually settled in Groton, MA for the next 47 years.

While raising her three daughters, Anne could be found working at the Groton Town Hall as an Administrative Assistant for the Board of Health, and later worked in Groton and other local schools as a classroom aide and a paraprofessional. She served as a Sunday School teacher, a Girl Scout Leader, a Room Mother, and most importantly to her, she was Nana Anne to her 16 grandchildren. Unofficially retiring in 2002 with the birth of her first grandchild, she was an active part of their lives and upbringing, and spent most of her time at sporting events, school plays and hosting epic sleepovers

Anne was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting for the next baby to come along, playing board games and cards, and made shopping an olympic sport (it was a marathon, not a sprint). Her love of football started at a young age, attending Harvard University football games where her father worked for the athletic department, and later watching the New England Patriots every week, even if she had to record it so she could watch it later after church. She found joy in every holiday and birthday celebration, making each one a memorable event.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Page and brother-in-law Paul O’Neil. She leaves behind her husband Richard; daughters Kristen Girouard and her husband Randy of Leominster, Alicia Gilmore and her husband Derek of Pepperell, Elizabeth Hall and her husband Shawn of Groton; her brother Christopher Page of Chelmsford, sister Judith Flannery and her husband John of Chelmsford, and Priscilla O’Neil of Blackstone; 16 grandchildren, along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for the staff at Brookhaven Hospice for their compassionate care towards Anne at the end of her life. To honor Anne’s life, those wishing to do so may make a donation to the Jimmy Fund, a cause near and dear to her heart.

David H. Gagnon, age 38, and a resident of Townsend, MA, passed away on June 4, 2026. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

David was a kind soul who loved hiking in the woods or mountains, especially with his family. He was a huge sports fan, particularly of football and basketball, which he played in high school. He played guitar and keyboard and enjoyed all different genres of music. He was a serious film buff, an avid reader, and interested follower of current events and politics. Photography was a recent hobby that he developed a remarkable skill for. He was a special friend to animals, especially his cats, Mabel and Hyacinth.

He leaves behind his father, Joseph Gagnon, and Joseph’s partner, Nancy Shea; his mother, Rhonda Sullivan; brother, Nathan Gagnon; sisters, Sarah Gagnon and Sybil (Padraic) Harrington; and nieces, Ava Gagnon and Ashley. He is predeceased by his sister, Grace Gagnon.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Myles Jewett, Jr., on May 29, 2026.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Ed was born on August 21, 1943, to Edward Myles Jewett, Sr., and Shirley Hayes at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Ed was a graduate of The Boston Latin School and Northeastern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, where he joined ROTC and the prestigious Pershing Rifles Drill Squad. From there, he went on to proudly serve as a Captain in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970

Ed married his childhood sweetheart, Jean Margaret Jewett, nee Whippen (died 1986), in 1966. They had three children. Eddie, Michael, and Lisa, whom they loved dearly. Upon returning from military service in Baumholder, Germany, Ed was hired and started his career with Mobil Oil, serving as Maintenance and Safety Supervisor, steadfastly overseeing their pipeline, refining, and bottling operations for 30+ years.

A true lover of anything automobile-related, Ed enjoyed working on the family cars and boat, and once owned a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (Nassau blue). He was also an avid fan of NASCAR and loved snow skiing and water skiing. In short, Ed loved “speed and anything that went fast”.

Ed remarried in 2001 to his partner of over 40 years, Claire MacDonald, originally from Malden, MA. Ed and Claire were longtime residents of Marblehead, MA.

Along with Jean, Ed is predeceased by his parents, Edward Sr. and Shirley; his sister, Jane; and his granddaughter, Danika.

Ed is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Claire MacDonald, his three children, Edward M. Jewett III, Michael Jewett (his wife, Elaine Jewett), and Lisa Shick, nee Jewett, and his three grandchildren, Jorgia Shick, Ronan Jewett, and Simon Jewett. And his dear poodle rescue, George

Janis Eileen Zambrello, of Harvard, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday May 14th. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, teacher, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit touched all who knew her.

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, on March 30, 1947, Janis was the beloved daughter of Lucille Lillian Corre and James Edward Welsh. She dedicated much of her life to education, earning a master’s degree in Education and working as a teacher, where she inspired countless students over the years.

Janis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis Zambrello, and her cherished daughter, Carolyn Zambrello.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Geneva and Kathryn Bouladian; her sons-in-law, Joseph Geneva and Raffi Bouladian; and her beloved grandchildren, Braylon, Trey and Ella, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Janis found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She treasured summers spent on Martha’s Vineyard, loved singing in her church choir, and enjoyed volunteering as an usher at the Palace Theater. She had a deep appreciation for travel, especially visiting America’s National Parks. Above all, Janis cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness.

Her gentle heart, unwavering love for family, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Eric H. Knight, a lifelong technologist and entrepreneur whose work stretched from the early personal-computing era to the first wave of the commercial Internet, and later into Nashville’s music and nightlife community, died of cancer on May 1, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 57.

A Nashville native, Knight showed an extraordinary aptitude for computers from an early age. As a teenager, Eric founded All Knight Systems, creating online services including INTERACT (a chat and multiplayer gaming service). Then, at the age of 15, he achieved what many seasoned engineers could only dream of: he joined Apple Computer, Inc. as a software engineer, becoming the youngest person ever to hold that title at the company. Buoyed by the confidence his parents had imbued in him, he impressed colleagues with his skill and maturity. That early mix of talent and fearlessness became a theme.

Eric’s career continued into major moments in computing history. As the sixth engineer hired by Be Inc., he helped create BeOS, working across many areas including text editing, MIDI, digital audio, telecom, video, and home control. In the newly commercialized Internet era, Eric founded BannerWeb (an advertising network), IPOPatrol (an investment monitoring service), and searchterms.com, a site that became widely discussed as both cultural novelty and marketing resource. He remained, at the core, someone who built systems that worked and helped people when their systems didn’t.

After years in the tech industry, Knight returned to Nashville to embark on a completely different venture. Drawing on his lifelong love of music, he built and operated Katatonic, an after-hours electronica dance club featuring live DJs every night. This bold career turn — from Silicon Valley boardrooms to the late-night Nashville club scene — showcased Knight’s gift for creative reinvention. The club quickly became a haven for late-night (to early morning) revelers, known for its energetic atmosphere, friendly patrons, and state-of-the-art sound, reflecting the same innovative flair Knight had brought to his tech endeavors. In later years, he stayed close to the music, rebuilding and helping operate a professional recording studio near Nashville’s Music Row, where he also worked as the recording engineer. His humor and charm endeared him to the people who worked with him, who affectionately called him Papa.

Though there were many, Eric Knight’s story is not just a list of roles. It was a consistent pattern: curiosity that turned into mastery, mastery that turned into invention, and invention that turned into something other people could use, feel, or belong to. Even when his work shifted, the through-line never changed: Eric built things, fixed things, and made complicated systems behave. Family, friends, and colleagues remember him as brilliant, tenacious, and deeply curious, with a mind tuned equally to engineering detail and human experience.

Eric was predeceased by his father, Alfred H. Knight, and is survived by his mother, Lois C. Knight; his brother, Stephen C. Knight; his sister-in-law, Kyra Kay Knight; his niece, Sarah C. Knight; and his nephew, Samuel C. Knight.

Edi Baker loved a good visit, whether it was to a faraway continent or with the patient at the next therapy table.

Carolyn Edith Baker, age 94, a longtime resident of Groton, passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 18, 2026. She leaves her beloved husband of 71 years, Richmond Baker.

Born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, on August 17, 1931, Edi was the daughter of the late John E. and Carolyn W. (Newhall) Pridham.

A student at Girls Latin School and Sargent College, both in Boston, Edi graduated to begin a more than five-decade career as a physical therapist, culminating in earning the title of department head at Clinton Hospital.

A chance meeting brought Edi and Rich together, and ultimately to Lawrence Academy, where the couple settled into campus life for 50 years.

They traveled to all seven continents, including Antarctica, when Edi and Rich were in their 80s. Africa was a favorite trip, with excursions to see the various animals, including a walk with the lions; a favorite DVD of their walk would be on repeat when friends were around. One of those trips to rugged Alaska led to the family's love of Alaskan Malamutes, and the addition of Kuna, Bear, Ali, Kodi, and Kimu over the years.

They traveled closer to home as well, with summer and fall trips to their classic New England log cabin on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, N.H. Boating was a favorite activity, as was competing for the last piece of the latest jigsaw puzzle.

Edi is survived by the couple's daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Richard Gray, and grandson Nathaniel Gray, nephew John Pridham and his wife Jill, niece Adrienne Pridham and nephew Jason Pridham and his wife Jessica, and many great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers and their wives, John and Helen Pridham, and Robert and Roberta Pridham, and niece Helen (Pridham) Carter and her husband, Harold.

Jean was born in Chile on February 10, 1940, and spent the first 16 years of her life there before returning to Massachusetts with her family during high school. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Somerville in 1958 and proudly served as a hospital corpsman in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1960. In addition to raising her four children, she spent over 30 years managing Dr. Robert Borden's medical practice, where she was known for her efficiency, kindness, and no-nonsense humor.

Jean lived life on her own terms and was a true “ball of energy” who could brighten any room. She loved reading, sewing, knitting, and crocheting, filling her home with creations that showcased her creativity and skill. Deeply connected to her Native American heritage, Jean crafted her own regalia and participated in drumming appearances and annual pow-wows with the UNACC group, celebrating her roots with pride.

She had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. Nemo, the last cat she rescued from a feral colony in Miami, enjoyed a quiet, loving life with Jean, a testament to her compassion and devotion.

Jean is remembered for her gregarious spirit and generous heart, always ready to help. She had a way of bringing warmth, humor, creativity, and energy into every room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Marie (Jim) Morley of Pepperell, Massachusetts; Bruce Secovich of Pepperell, Massachusetts; Kristi (John) White of Clinton, Massachusetts; and Mark (Carrie) Secovich of Nashua, New Hampshire. She was a proud grandmother to Patrick, Jeannie, Kaeleb, Jacob, Cassandra, Dominique, Olivia, Kyle, Amelie, Jaida, and Isaac, and a loving great-grandmother to Finnley and Morgan.

She was predeceased by her parents, Noel Sr. and Gertrude (Jean) Rainville; her brother, Noel Rainville, Jr.; and her husband, Bob, who passed away in 2016. Jean will be missed by her sister, Elaine, and brother-in-law, Nick Palumbo of Webster, Texas, as well as her niece, Debi, her nephews, Nick and Vince, and her sister-in-law, Ellen Rainville of Westford, MA.

Services will be held privately at a later date.

In honor of Jean’s proud service to her country, her family encourages others to thank a service member, a gesture that would have made her very happy.

Anna J (Robbins) MacDonald of Pepperell, born on March 5, 1950 in Cambridge, MA, passed away on April 7, 2026 from her fight with breast cancer. We’ll miss your face, your touch, your smile.

Her resilience, strength and sense of humor created the bonds that held her family together and served as an inspiration for all who knew her. Anna’s career was wide ranging from managing an auto dealership paralegal work, office management even teaching Sunday school where she touched the lives of many young souls.

She found immense joy spending time with her beloved dogs, as well as embarking on cherished trips to Cape Cod with her husband and family. A master of spaghetti and meatballs, Anna's cooking was only rivalled by the warmth she brought to every meal. A special bond was shared with her namesake, Aunt Anna, a bond that was a testament to the enduring love within their family. Above all, what mattered most to Anna was being in the company of her family, the heart of her existence.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Mark MacDonald, her four children, Christine A Rivera, Kelly A Rivera, Richard A Rivera, Alycia M Rivera, 8 grandchildren ,14 great grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews. Her siblings Mary E (Robbins) D’Eon, Joseph H Robbins Jr., Kathleen P (Robbins) Zaharchuk, Emily M (Robbins) Stone, Michael J Robbins, Carol A (Robbins) Greeno, Karen MacDonald, Joanne (MacDonald) McGovern, William MacDonald, Janine (MacDonald) McBride.

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Robert Edward McCauley of Groton, beloved husband of Patricia, who died on April 3, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital.

Born on April 2, 1948, in Little Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Charles Alvin McCauley and Bernice Eleanor Rahm McCauley. He was raised in Little Falls before going on to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He spent his career in the technology field, working at Digital Equipment Corporation and later Compaq, where he was known for his deep knowledge of how things worked and for being a thoughtful and capable manager.

He shared 30 years of marriage with his wife, Patricia. He built a life grounded in curiosity, kindness, and partnership, especially in the years he shared with Patricia.

In retirement, he and Patricia gave time together as volunteers at the New England Aquarium and the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium. He found real joy in helping others understand the natural world. In addition to his work with the aquariums, he volunteered to drive cancer patients to their medical appointments, a reflection of his generosity and willingness to show up for others.

For the past fifteen years, he and Patricia spent winters in Florida, where together they enjoyed long walks, bike rides, and visiting museums, sharing a curiosity about the world around them. Bob and Patricia would also open their house to family and were often traveling to see their children and grandchildren.

He was a loyal fan of baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox, and followed the team with steady devotion over the years. He was a lifelong learner, practicing Spanish every day on Duolingo. He found happiness in simple, meaningful routines: visiting the library, enjoying ice cream, and being outside. He was a quiet person with a subtle sense of humor, and those who knew him well came to recognize and cherish his wit.

He especially loved spending time with his six grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy, taking them to the aquarium and parks, sharing what he knew, or just goofing around.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; his four children, Michelle McCauley, Paul McCauley (spouse Jessica), David McCauley, and Aubrey McCauley (spouse Michael); his two stepchildren, Mark Flanagan and Diane Flanagan; and his six grandchildren, Kaiden, Miller, Bridget, Eleanor, Evelyn, and Connor. He is also survived by his siblings, Janet Eckard and Chuck McCauley.

A celebration of life will be held on April 18th, 2026, at First Church Unitarian, 19 Foster St., Littleton, MA.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Dianne Carol Martino, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Dianne departed this world in the early morning hours of April 3rd, 2026, following a brief illness with her loving husband by her side. She was 78 years old.

Born on April 14, 1947, in Wakefield, MA, Dianne was the loving daughter of Ida Claire (Russo) and Kenneth G. Munro, whom she is now reunited with. She grew up in a warm and loving home, which instilled in her a sense of kindness and dedication that she carried throughout her life.

Dianne graduated from Littleton High School in 1965, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life rich with love, family, and humor. She initially worked at Hanscom Air Force Base, but her true calling was found in her roles as a devoted mother and a passionate antiques dealer. Together with her husband, Ronald Martino, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage and built a loving home in Groton, MA.

Dianne's life was a tapestry of vibrant interests and steadfast dedication. Known for her signature bright nail polish and ruby red lipstick, she was quick-witted, kind, and passionately devoted to her family. A voracious reader, she loved the works of James Patterson, completing nearly 300 of his books in the last year of her life. Her visits to the Used Book Superstore were frequent, bringing home more books in a single trip than many people read in a lifetime.

Her weekends were often spent with her husband Ron, searching for treasures at local yard sales that she could later sell at area flea markets. Dianne's love for animals, especially her many beloved cats and dogs over the years, was profound. Her family fondly remembers her love for art, books, and a good bargain.

Despite the challenges she faced, including surviving a stroke three and a half years ago, Dianne's resilience was unwavering. She defied the odds and enjoyed nearly four extra years with those she loved most. Her laughter, love, and humor will leave an impression on everyone who loved her, and she will be profoundly missed.

Dianne is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald; her son, Brent Martino, and his wife Shannon Clark of Shirley; and her daughter, Tracy Martino of Groton. She also leaves behind her brother, Ken Munro of Venice, FL. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Brooke Martino of Melrose, Connor Martino and Craig Clark of Shirley, and Joshua Blast of Groton, as well as her great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Trevor Clark. She will be missed by numerous other family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and beautiful spirit.

Dianne wished to have a private celebration of life, which will be held at a later date this spring.
