CNCPS was developed to predict requirements, feed utilization, animal performance and nutrient excretion for dairy and beef cattle and sheep, using accumulated knowledge about feed composition, digestion, and metabolism in supplying nutrients to meet requirements.

June officially became dairy month in 1939!
It actually started as a way to distribute extra milk during the warmer months. In 1937, some grocer organizations sponsored June as National Milk month. By 1939 it was official!
