✨ This weekend was about more than learning breathwork. It was about becoming. ✨

The Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator students spent the weekend learning, practicing, facilitating, and—most importantly—experiencing the work for themselves.

They partnered with their breath to support themselves and cultivate an internal sense of safety. They practiced meeting themselves with compassion, understanding, and acceptance—and extended that same presence to the breathers they supported. 💖

Because becoming a trauma-informed facilitator isn’t just about gaining knowledge or learning techniques.

It’s about shifting lifelong patterns.
It’s about learning to stay connected to yourself.
It’s about discovering what becomes possible when you breathe, feel, notice, and choose.

I am so proud of each of these incredible students and the intention, courage, and presence they brought into the space this weekend. 🫶

They are not simply learning how to facilitate breathwork.

They are becoming the facilitators they are called to be. 🌬️❤️

What becomes possible when we remember that we belong to one another?

Connection invites us to soften, listen, and see beyond the surface. In the space between us, there is an opportunity to remember our shared humanity—and the beauty of belonging.

Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to meet with Steven Pratscher, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at The Center for Research Excellence in Supportive Care within The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – The James.
Dr. Pratscher is the Principal Investigator of an NIH-funded clinical trial evaluating an integrative breathwork intervention for adults experiencing chronic pain.

We had such a meaningful conversation about the intersection of breath, mindfulness, somatic awareness, chronic pain, and whole-person well-being—and about the importance of continuing to explore breathwork through research.

As a Breathworker and educator, opportunities like this are especially meaningful to me. I believe there is tremendous value in honoring both the lived experience of breathwork and the importance of asking thoughtful questions, gathering evidence, and continuing to learn what the research can teach us.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and be part of a conversation that is helping explore where integrative breathwork may fit within supportive care and chronic pain research.

There is so much more to learn—and I’m excited to keep following where the research leads. 🫶ervention for chronic pain.

Consider connecting with Steve if this is of interest to you! [email protected]

Have you ever walked into a conversation, meeting, or interaction already carrying the energy of everything that came before it?

What if you could create a little more space before the moment even begins?

Try this simple practice:

1. Choose your moment.
Think of a conversation, meeting, or situation you have coming up.

2. Bring your awareness to your heart.
Take a few slower, deeper breaths and imagine your breath moving gently in and out through the center of your chest. Find a rhythm that feels comfortable and natural.

3. Imagine yourself in the moment.
Picture the interaction unfolding. Rather than rehearsing what you’ll say, connect with how you want to show up.

Calm.
Present.
Grounded.
Open.

Imagine yourself staying connected to that feeling, even if the conversation becomes challenging.

And if you notice yourself becoming reactive, pause. Breathe. Come back to yourself.

✨ You don't have to wait for the moment to regulate. You can prepare your nervous system for how you want to meet it.

Awareness gives you a choice.
Your breath creates space for that choice.

Try it before your next meeting, conversation, or important interaction and notice what shifts.

Life happens. Stress, change, conflict, and overwhelm are part of being human. What matters is learning to notice what’s happening and support yourself in finding your way back to regulation.

Maybe you feel exhausted but can't relax, your mind keeps racing after stressful moments, you have trouble resting, or it takes hours—or even days—to feel like yourself again.

These aren't signs that something is wrong with you. Your nervous system may simply be working hard to protect you.

🌬️ Try this:
Inhale gently through your nose for 4 counts.
Exhale slowly for 6–8 counts.
Repeat 5 times without forcing the breath.

Then pause and notice. Even a 1% shift matters.

Resilience isn't about never being overwhelmed. It's about developing the awareness to notice, listen to yourself, and choose what supports your well-being.

One breath can be a beginning. Comment and let me know if you tried this and how you feel!

Your doing when infused with being = elevated results. 🌿

Surrendered action that prioritizes a feeling of well-being creates a higher quality of doing, one that incorporates ease & flow.

🌿 Well-being is something we practice—not just something we talk about.

We were honored to join Grange Insurance’s Wellness Fair, where Tiffany and Rea had the opportunity to connect with employees, share more about the benefits of breathwork, and offer mini-breathwork sessions throughout the event.

We love seeing organizations like Grange recognize that supporting employee well-being means creating opportunities to pause, breathe, reset, and reconnect—even in the middle of a busy workday.

Breathworx614 is grateful to partner with Grange through quarterly virtual breathwork sessions and to continue supporting their commitment to the well-being of their employees. 🤍

Thank you, Grange, for creating space for wellness and connection!
