Today our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of watercolor painting with the wonderful Allisen Roberts. 🎨💙

There’s something so special about watching creativity come to life around the table — laughter, conversation, encouragement, and beautiful artwork all wrapped into one activity. Every canvas was unique, and every smile told the story of a heart made happy.

Thank you, Allisen, for sharing your time and talent with our residents today. Everyone left with beautiful paintings and even fuller hearts. 🖌️

We wrapped up National Skilled Nursing Facility Week with sweet treats, smiling faces, and full hearts! 🍦🍏💙

Before lunch, our residents enjoyed a visit from the Popsicle Posse ice cream truck, picking out their favorite frozen treats and enjoying the beautiful day outside together. There’s just something special about hearing the excitement when the ice cream truck pulls up! 🍨☀️

This afternoon, Gentiva Hospice, Centerwell Home Health and Griswold helped us finish the week with delicious apple nachos that were a huge hit with everyone. We are so thankful for community partners who love on our residents so well and help make these moments extra special.

What a wonderful week it has been filled with laughter, music, dancing, good food, fun themes, and memories our residents and staff will cherish. Thank you to everyone who helped make Skilled Nursing Facility Week such a success!

Aloha from Day 4 of National Skilled Nursing Facility Week! 🌺🌴☀️

Today's luau was full of good food, great music, and even better company. Our residents enjoyed a delicious meal of smoked chicken, sausage, boudain, baked beans, fresh watermelon, and plenty of sweet desserts to top it all off. 🍉🍗

The music from the wonderful Clint Faulk had everyone smiling, singing along, and soaking up the tropical vibes under the shade of the oak trees. From leis and flamingo glasses to laughter shared around the tables, today was another beautiful reminder that joy and fellowship are so important at every stage of life. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday special for our residents. These moments mean the world to us.

Day 3 of National Skilled Nursing Facility Week ended with LOTS of foam, dancing, laughter, and memories we won’t forget anytime soon! ☀️🫧🎶

Our residents had an absolute blast at today’s foam party. Watching them smile, dance, laugh, and enjoy being outside together was such a beautiful reminder that joy has no age limit. From beach balls flying through the foam to music playing under the oak trees, today was filled with happiness from beginning to end.

Moments like these are why we love what we do. Seeing our residents truly living, laughing, and having fun makes every bit of planning worth it. 💙

And yes… a few staff members may have joined in on the fun too. 😂

Day 3 of National Skilled Nursing Facility Week was all about boots, blue jeans, and western vibes! 🤠⭐

Western Day was a success, and the boss definitely understood the assignment! From cowboy hats to country concert tees, our team showed up ready to have a little fun and keep the week rolling strong.

We love bringing smiles, laughter, and a little extra joy to our residents and staff during this special week. There’s just something about a good themed day that brings everyone together like family. 💙

Days 1 & 2 of National Skilled Nursing Facility Week are officially in the books, and the smiles say it all! 💙

We kicked things off with delicious Coke floats on Day 1 and cooled down with sno cones on Day 2. From sweet treats to sweet moments, our residents have truly enjoyed every minute together.

There’s nothing better than laughter around the table, sunshine outside, and making memories with the people we love so much. We are so thankful for the joy our residents bring each and every day.

Today, we celebrate all the beautiful women who nurture, guide, comfort, and love in their own special way. 💐

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, chosen moms, adoptive moms, pet moms, single moms, and every woman who has loved with a mother’s heart. We also hold close those who are missing their mothers, grieving, longing to become mothers, or walking complicated journeys this Mother’s Day.

At Oak Grove Nursing Home, we are blessed to witness the strength, wisdom, compassion, and unconditional love of so many incredible women every single day. Your stories, sacrifices, and love have shaped generations, and today we honor YOU. 🌸

One of the sweetest parts of our day was seeing the smiles that came from simple words of kindness. 💙

Several of our residents took time to give special shout outs to staff members who have made a difference in their days through compassion, patience, encouragement, and loving care. Those staff members were surprised with a Sonic gift card along with their shout out card from the residents. 🥤✨

In long-term care, the little things matter most… a warm smile, a helping hand, a listening ear, or taking a few extra moments to make someone feel loved. We are so thankful for a team that pours their hearts into our residents every single day.

There is nothing better than being recognized by the people you care for. ❤️

Today was the perfect kickoff to Nurses Week at Oak Grove! 💙

Our residents spent time coloring pictures and writing the sweetest little notes for our nursing staff. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces was such a beautiful reminder of the love and care shared within our halls every single day.

A huge thank you to Premier Rehab LLC for treating our nurses to a wonderful breakfast filled with muffins, danishes, fruit, and juice! 🍓🥐🧃

Another special thank you to Dana and Concho Hearts Hospice for the delicious chicken spaghetti from The Courtyard Cafe of Groves ! 🍝

To top it all off, our nurses were pampered with relaxing massages today — a small way to say THANK YOU for all the hard work, compassion, and dedication they pour into our residents daily.

We appreciate our nursing team more than words can say! 💙
