Russian River Empowerment Center We are a peer-run mental health and wellness center for those who want to transcend serious and persistent mental health challenges. Funded by MHSA.

We offer workshops, groups, peer support and other activities. The Russian River Empowerment Center is a consumer-driven Peer Support mental health and wellness program with West County Community Services. We provide a safe and supportive haven for those who want to transcend serious and persistent mental illness. With peer support, we nurture positive self-worth, recovery, self-determination, res

If we see ourselves as a mosaic of our life experiences, mental illness is only part of the picture. We have relationships and experiences that might be influenced by the illness, but are not dominated by it. The colors of the illness don't dominate the picture. You are more than your illness. It does not define who you are. Our intention is to create a supportive community where who you really are is seen and accepted. You have the support to discover a new, life-affirming story.

TOMORROW: Enjoy a free docent-led Thanksgiving walk at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. Join us for an easy, docent-guided walk along the forest floor, and learn about redwoods, the history of the area, its people, plants, and animals. Meet in the front parking lot at 11AM next to the picnic tables. Armstrong Redwoods, 17000 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville. Wear layers of warm clothing and bring a water bottle.

We would like to announce our new hours:
Monday 11am to 4pm
Tuesday 11am to 4pm
Wed 11am to 4pm
Thurs 11 am to 4pm

We are also no longer providing the Zoom check-in at 11am on the Weekdays but the warmline is open if you need to talk.

This is a message to all Empowerment Center members, the daily check-in has moved to a Zoom platform. The reason for this is Zoom is a safer and more HIPPA compliant service. I would also like to note that Rena is no longer a Peer Aid with the EC so any offerings that she may present are independent of the EC.
