Since 1976, River to Coast Children’s Services (RCCS) has been a trusted resource for families and child care providers across Western Sonoma County.

Serving Western Sonoma County since 1976, River to Coast Children’s Services (RCCS) supports children, families, and child care providers through child care subsidies, resource & referral services, and community programs. We offer a range of services including child care referrals, financial assistance through state-subsidized programs (CFCC, CAPP, and CalWORKs C2AP & C3AP), and educational resour

ces that empower families and early educators alike. Our programs help eligible families offset child care costs—supporting parents who are working, attending school, searching for employment or housing, participating in welfare-to-work activities, managing health issues, or receiving support from Child Protective Services or other income-based programs. At RCCS, we recognize child care providers as essential early childhood educators. We actively promote participation in ongoing professional development—offering training opportunities both through RCCS and in collaboration with other leading child development organizations. Our team is proud to reflect the rich diversity of our community, and we are committed to providing respectful, accessible support to all families and providers.

✨ Know the Staff -July 2026 ✨

This month, we are excited to introduce Lupita Dominguez, our Child Development Resource Specialist.

Lupita has been a valued member of the RCCS team since July 2012. In her role, she partners with child care providers, supports children's developmental growth, and connects families with valuable resources to help children thrive. Her years of experience and dedication have made a lasting impact on the families and providers she serves.

Fun facts: Lupita loves going on breakfast dates with family and friends and exploring new coffee shops. She has been with RCCS for 14 years and has dedicated 16 years to the Early Care and Education field. She is also a proud mom of three, and her oldest will be starting her final year at UCLA this fall. ☕🥞💙
We are grateful for Lupita's years of service, dedication, and the positive impact she continues to make in our community.

Este mes, nos complace presentar a Lupita Dominguez, nuestra Especialista en Recursos de Desarrollo de Niños.

Lupita forma parte del equipo de RCCS desde julio del 2012. En su función, colabora con proveedores de cuidado de niños, apoya el desarrollo de los niños y conecta a las familias con recursos valiosos para ayudar a que los niños prosperen. Sus años de experiencia y dedicación han dejado una huella positiva en las familias y proveedores a quienes sirve.

Dato curioso: A Lupita le encanta salir a desayunar con su familia y sus amistades, además de conocer nuevos cafés. Ha formado parte de RCCS durante 14 años y ha dedicado 16 años al campo del Cuidado y Educación Temprana. También es una orgullosa mamá de tres hijos, y su hija mayor comenzará este otoño su último año en UCLA. ☕🥞💙

Agradecemos a Lupita por sus años de servicio, su dedicación y el impacto positivo que continúa teniendo en nuestra comunidad.

🎉 A wonderful time was had at the RCCS 50th Anniversary Family BBQ Celebration! 🎈

It was heartwarming to see the entire RCCS family come together for a beautiful day at the park to commemorate 5 decades of working together in ensuring all our children have the support they need. 🌳

A huge thank you to our incredible board members, staff, families, M.R.F.D., volunteers, partners, and community members who made this milestone event possible. ❤️

Swim lessons have returned to West County!

RCCS is proud to partner with the YMCA once again this year to help children living along the Lower Russian River build confidence in and around the water through free swim lessons!

Lessons run July 13 through July 30 for children ages 3-12.

Space is limited, so families are encouraged to register early to secure their preferred class time.

This month, we are excited to introduce Soledad Figueroa, our Executive Director.

Soledad has been part of the RCCS family since December 5, 2005. Through her leadership, dedication, and vision, she has helped RCCS grow while expanding programs and strengthening services that support children, families, and child care providers throughout Western Sonoma County.

Fun facts: Soledad enjoys spending time with her family and taking walks with her dogs. She enjoys children's honesty and the little things they say and do that make them unique, and her greatest reward in seeing the positive impact RCCS has on their lives. When she's not working behind the scenes to ensure RCCS continues providing essential services, she enjoys listening to great music and dancing. 🎶💃🐾

We are grateful for Soledad's leadership and her unwavering commitment to building stronger families and communities. 💙

Good news West County, Kindergym is growing!

Due to popular demand, River to Coast Children's Services is adding a THIRD Kindergym day!

Kindergym will now meet 3 days a week, all from 10am–12pm:

📅 Tuesdays — Monte Rio Elementary
📅 Thursdays — Forestville United Methodist Church
📅 Fridays (NEW! Starting July 10th) — Forestville United Methodist Church

We are so grateful for how much this program has grown and how many local families count on Kindergym for a little mid-week fun and to support their child's healthy development.

As always, Kindergym is FREE and open to parents, guardians, and caregivers of children ages 0–6. All children must be vaccinated.

We can't wait to see you on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and now, on Fridays!

Buenas noticias comunidad del Oeste del Condado, Kindergym está creciendo!

Debido a su popularidad, River to Coast Children's Services ha agregado un TERCER día de Kindergym!

Kindergym se ofrecerá 3 veces a la semana de las 10 a.m a las 12 p.m:

📅 Los Viernes (Nuevo! empezando 10 de julio) — Forestville United Methodist Church

Estamos muy agradecidos de ver este programa crecer y también ver a todas las familias que disfrutan Kindergym cada semana — divirtiéndose mientras se aseguran de que sus niños estén desarrollándose de manera saludable.
