Huaiyu Tan MD-PhD I am board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I am board certified and ACGME fellowship trained in Pain Medicine.

I offer evaluation and non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions. I perform ultrasound and x-ray guided procedures. I see patients at the Andrews Institute Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, as well as Baptist Hosptital in Pensacola.

On May 18, Huaiyu Tan, MD-PhD, competed at the 2024 Powerlifting America Age Division National Championships (Masters I Division). He competed in the 66kg weight division and weighed 144.8 lbs. He squatted 374.8 lbs, bench-pressed 231.5 lbs, and deadlifted 496 lbs, totaling 1102 lbs in the three lifts.

His exceptional performance earned him 2nd place, and he set new Florida State Master I 66kg records in Deadlift and Total. This remarkable feat not only highlights his personal achievement but also sets a high standard for the powerlifting community. The US National Team selected him to compete at the North American Powerlifting Championships in Scottsdale, AZ, in August. Way to go, Dr. Tan! andrewsinstitute.com
