MHAMS was organized in 1963 as a grassroots organization to serve the mental health needs of south Mississippi. Are you ready to take a more intentional approach to your wellness, recognize what helps you stay well, and build tools you can use when life gets challenging?

Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP®) Seminar I is an interactive experience designed to help participants explore practical wellness tools, identify personal strengths and supports, and create a plan that is truly their own.

Help brighten a patient's day by donating a book! 📚

We are hosting a Back to School Book Drive for our patients, and we would love your support!

We are collecting paperback books, puzzle books, crossword books, word search books, and Sudoku books. Books should be clean, gently used or new, and free of damage, markings, or missing pages. Adult and family-friendly reading and activity books are welcome.

📅 Drive Dates: August 3 to 21, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
📍 Drop-Off: Gulfport Behavioral Health System.
