Do you know the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist? An ophthalmologist is a specially trained medical doctor who can diagnose and treat eye diseases. An optometrist on the other hand, focuses on primary eye care and vision correction.

The eyes are often a window to your overall health. Systemic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and atherosclerosis can all show early signs in the eye.

At Gunnison Valley Health, you get the best of both worlds. Our Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, Leslie Moskowitz-Elfenbein, MD is here for all your eye care needs no matter what stage of life. Call 970-641-3927 to set up an appointment today.
