🔬 Let's talk about male fertility

When people think about fertility struggles, the conversation often centers on women — but male factor infertility plays a role in up to half of all infertility cases. That's a big number, and it's one more reason fertility is always a two-person journey.

Our latest blog breaks down what actually goes into male fertility: what a semen analysis measures, the everyday factors that can affect s***m health (yes, even that hot tub habit 🌡️), and the range of treatment options available — from simple lifestyle changes to IUI to IVF with ICSI.

🔬 Happy World Embryologist Day & World IVF Day! 🧬

Every July 25, we celebrate two milestones in one — because they're actually the same story. On this day in 1978, Louise Brown was born in England as the world's first baby conceived through IVF, thanks to the pioneering work of Dr. Robert Edwards, Dr. Patrick Steptoe, and nurse Jean Purdy. That single birth launched an entire field — and gave rise to World IVF Day and World Embryologist Day, celebrated together every year since.

Nearly 50 years later, we get to witness that same kind of miracle every day, right here in our own lab. Our embryology team works behind the scenes with precision, patience, and heart — nurturing every embryo like it's the only one that matters, because to someone, it is. 🧫

To celebrate, Dr. Eli Reshef takes us through a quick history of IVF in the video above — how far the field has come since that first IVF baby in 1978 — and shares the innovations he's most excited about for the future of fertility care. 🚀

To our incredible lab team: thank you for the late nights, the steady hands, and the quiet dedication that makes every single one of our patients' dreams possible. Science keeps moving forward, and so do we. ✨

Letrozole, Clomid, metformin — if you're navigating PCOS (recently renamed PMOS) and trying to conceive, you've probably heard all three mentioned in the same breath. But they don't work the same way, and knowing the difference matters. 💜

In our latest blog, we break down:

✨ How each medication actually works
✨ Why letrozole is now typically the first-line choice for PCOS/PMOS
✨ Where metformin fits in — and why it's usually a complement, not a standalone option
✨ How your specialist decides what's right for you

What actually happens at a monitoring appointment? 👀🩸

In this video, Dr. Olutunmike Kuyoro breaks down what to expect — and two things are doing most of the work behind the scenes: ultrasound and bloodwork.

🔹 Ultrasounds let your care team track follicle growth and lining development in real time, so they know exactly how your body is responding to treatment.

🔹 Bloodwork measures your hormone levels (like estradiol and LH), giving the full picture alongside what's visible on ultrasound.

Together, these two pieces are what allow your doctor to fine-tune medication doses, time triggers and procedures precisely, and catch any changes early — all so your cycle stays on track.

Monitoring appointments are usually quick, but they're doing a lot of heavy lifting for your treatment plan.
