🎉🎂 Happy 1st Birthday, Lukas! 🎂🎉
Today was a day filled with smiles, laughter, cake, and so much love as we celebrated a very special little boy's first birthday here at Hope House Guthrie.
Just one year ago, Lukas was still in the hospital, fighting through the very beginning of life. Today, he is thriving, surrounded by family, friends, and a community that has been cheering him on every step of the way. Watching him dive into his birthday cake and seeing the joy on everyone's faces was a beautiful reminder of how far he has come.
This celebration is about more than a birthday.
It is also a celebration of hope, perseverance, and transformation.
Lukas' mother, Brandy, is a recent graduate of our Life Transformation Program: Streets to Stability. Through determination, hard work, and the support of those around her, she has built a new path for herself and her children. Today, she continues to give back by leading our Women's Narcotics Anonymous meetings, encouraging other women that recovery is possible and that no one has to walk the journey alone.
Watching Lukas grow up in a stable, loving environment while seeing his mom become a leader in recovery is exactly why we do what we do.
Every child deserves birthdays filled with laughter instead of uncertainty.
Every parent deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life.
Every family deserves hope.
Congratulations to Brandy on all you have accomplished, and Happy 1st Birthday, Lukas! We are honored to celebrate these milestones with you and your family.
