Loyola Paulette Ellsworth, 78, of Boise City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, Oklahoma.

Loyola, known by most as Lola, was born on July 13, 1948, in Clayton, New Mexico, to Romolo and Cornelia (Sisernos) Martinez. She graduated from Clayton High School with the Class of 1967. On December 15, 1973, she married Richard Guy "Dickey" Ellsworth in Clayton, New Mexico. To this union were born two daughters, Lydia and Metzi.

Lola attended classes in Oklahoma City and became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in 1989. She spent the majority of her career caring for others at Cimarron Memorial Nursing Home, as well as serving as a private caregiver. She was known for her compassionate heart and selfless nature, always taking care of others. Never without a hug or a smile, she was a true friend to everyone and loved by many. Her joyous spirit was contagious wherever she went.

Outside of work, Lola enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard, caring for her animals, and making memories with those she loved. Her greatest joy was being a Nana, and the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be forever cherished.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Romolo and Cornelia (Sisernos) Martinez, and her loving husband, Richard Guy "Dickey" Ellsworth; and her niece and nephew.

Lola is survived by her daughters, Lydia Payne and husband Gene of Amistad, New Mexico, and Metzi Brown and husband Travis of Boise City, Oklahoma; sisters, Diane Martinez, Joann Padilla, Kathy Drumm, Julia Martinez, and Stephanie Rodriguez; brothers, John Martinez and Charles Sisernos; four grandchildren, Justin Payne and wife Kenzie of Amistad, New Mexico, Morgan Crawford and husband Taylor of San Antonio, Texas, Connie Strand and husband Colton of San Jon, New Mexico, and Bailey Wiley and husband Matthew of Boise City, Oklahoma; seven great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Chesney, Charmayne, Kooper, Ronan, Grace, and Kami Jo; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Boise City Cemetery in Boise City, Oklahoma, with Trevor Bulls officiating.

Nancy Lee (Sparks) Sifford, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 9, 2026. She was born on June 6, 1951, in Lawrence, Kansas, to Arthur and Helen (Hibner) Sparks, where she spent her childhood and formative years.

After graduating from high school, Nancy moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she met the love of her life, Edward Ryan Sifford, while they were both employed as security at the Nixon Power Plant. They were united in marriage on June 25, 1979, and began a life filled with love, adventure, and faithful devotion. As the wife of a career serviceman, Nancy proudly embraced the role of military spouse, following Edward around the world throughout his military career until his honorable discharge as a First Sergeant.

Together, Nancy and Edward were blessed with two children, Kristina and Edward Sifford, Jr., who became the center of Nancy's world. The family made their home in western Oklahoma, living in several communities before settling in Adams, Oklahoma. There they established lasting friendships and became active members of their community.

Nancy's life reflected her willingness to serve others. Nancy served as a Girl Scout Leader, investing her time and talents in the lives of others. She worked as a substitute teacher and school bus driver while raising her children, later serving as manager of the Hardesty Equity until her retirement. Though she took pride in every position she held, her greatest calling was caring for her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished sister, aunt, and friend, and a constant source of encouragement and support to those she loved.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. Nancy was a faithful member of Hardesty Church, formerly Hardesty United Methodist Church, where she joyfully served in many capacities. She led the church's Card Ministry, served as a United Methodist Church conference delegate, faithfully supported her church family, and was a longtime participant in the Holy City Easter Pageant in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Nancy enjoyed traveling and treasured the many places she experienced throughout her life, but nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her family. Whether celebrating holidays, sharing meals, or simply enjoying everyday moments together, she created countless memories that will be cherished forever. Her compassion, quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering love for others will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristina R. Ferguson and husband, Duane, of Amarillo, Texas; her son, Edward R. Sifford, Jr., of Adams, Oklahoma; her sisters, Debi Keeney and husband, Bill, of Raymore, Missouri, and Donna Swords and husband, Mike, of Sedalia, Missouri; her brothers, Tim Bliss and wife, Diane, of Enterprise, Kansas, and Richard Bliss of Enterprise, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; many extended family members and dear friends; and her faithful canine companion, Kooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Sparks and Helen Bliss; her beloved husband, Edward R. Sifford; and her sisters, Sandi Hodges and Norma Jean Wheelock.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Guymon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hardesty Church, located at Highway 412 (Peery) and 5th St. in Hardesty, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Hartville Cemetery.

Rodney “Rod” Buck, 70-year-old longtime Guymon, Oklahoma resident passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

The only son of Marvin and Shirley Yvonne (Power) Buck, he was born January 10, 1956, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Rod graduated from Guymon High School with the class of 1974. Farming wasn’t just his job, it was his passion. Johnny Bryan took Rod under his wing and Rod worked day and night to show his appreciation to the Bryan family for many years. If it had an engine, chances are he could fix it. Combines, tractors, irrigation engines, sprinklers; you name it, he knew how to make it run again. His knowledge, work ethic, and willingness to help were unmatched. Before dedicating his life to farming, he worked at John Deere. Prior to that, he served as the Service Manager at Nash Brothers in Guymon, where he built a reputation for his mechanical skill and commitment to those he served. His work was how he showed his love. He worked long hours and sacrificed his time and energy to provide for his family, making sure they always had what they needed. He wasn’t a man who expressed his love with many words—he expressed it through hard work, dedication, and the life he built for those he loved.

He married the love of his life, Daina Buck on July 18, 1989. He adored his family and was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. Rod also loved working on and tinkering with hot rod cars and was an avid John Wayne fan.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Daina Buck, and special lifelong family friends, Johnny and Thelma Bryan.

He is survived by three children, Jessi Veleta and husband Eryk of Guymon; Jacob Dunham and wife, Chelsey of Hardesty; Jeramie Herrera and husband, O.J. of Guymon; grandchildren, Seth Mayer, Ryder and Oakley Herrera, June, Harley, and Lucy Dunham, and Izekiel and Zyla Veleta; brothers-in-law, Baron Stewart and Vance Stewart; and special lifelong family friends, Priscilla (Bryan) Johnson and husband David, Jonette (Bryan) Anderson and husband Jess, Fred Bryan and wife Robyn, and Suzanne and the late Richard (Dicky) Bryan.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Henson-Novak Funeral Home in Guymon.

Funeral services for Rod will be conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Henson- Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth Street, Guymon, with family friend, Rev. Tim Brittain, officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Edwin Earl Fleming, 79, a longtime resident of Keyes, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

Edwin was born on September 21, 1946, in Guymon, Oklahoma, to Joe and Ona (Freeman) Fleming. He graduated from Keyes High School in 1964 and earned his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University in 1969.

Edwin honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain. Following his military service, he returned to his hometown of Keyes, where he devoted his life to farming and raising his family. The land was not only his livelihood but also his life's passion.

When he wasn't tending to his crops or caring for the farm, Edwin enjoyed playing guitar, singing, birdwatching, weightlifting, following women's basketball, studying history, and spending time pursuing his interests in fi****ms and classic cars. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ona Fleming, and his daughter, Bronwyn Fleming.

Edwin is survived by his best friend and former wife, Cheri Fleming Tooley; his son, Coleman Fleming and wife, Sarah Vaca; his daughter, Aubrey Stuart and husband, Adrian; his grandchildren, Logan Stuart and Lydia Stuart; his sister, Mary Fleming; his brothers, Robert Fleming and Richard Fleming; his nieces, Sarah Fleming, Lisa Taylor, Jana O'Kelley, and Kendra Laughlin; and his nephews, John Fleming, Brian Fleming and Adrien Kosler.

Edwin's legacy of service, hard work, and devotion to those he loved will be cherished by all who knew him.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Willowbar Cemetery.

Elizabeth Ann Buehler, affectionately known as Liz, departed this life on June 8, 2026, at the age of 78 in Lubbock, TX. She was born on October 14, 1947, in Baltimore, MD to Frank and Mary (Mitchell) Schmidt. Liz was raised in the Baltimore area and graduated from Patterson High in 1965. In 1970, she was united in marriage to Larry Buehler at the Salem Lutheran Church in Baltimore, MD. They were blessed with 2 daughters and quickly found their forever home when they moved to Guymon from Iowa in 1982 where Larry managed the Safeway and Homeland stores.

Liz was a compassionate woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was humble and would often be found tending to her beloved garden, especially her gladiolas. Liz also had a soft spot for cats, providing a loving home for several throughout her life. Her supportive nature extended beyond her love for animals, and she was a pillar of strength for her family, whom she valued above all else.

Liz leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. Her loving spirit and humble nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Larry Buehler of the home; 2 daughters, Deidre Buehler of Guymon, OK and Stacy (Buehler) Laverman and husband Josh of Montezuma, IA; and sister, Patricia Schmidt of Guymon, OK. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Schmidt, and sister, Frances Mairose.

Ida Ellen May Baugh, a former longtime resident of Texhoma, Oklahoma, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 81.

She was born on December 24, 1944, in Florence, Arizona, to James Albert Wellman and May Ettie Lavender. In 1959, Ida moved with her family to Oklahoma, where she later met the love of her life, Duane. The two were married on May 15, 1964, at the Texhoma Church of God Parsonage and made their home in Texhoma, where they raised their three children and built a life centered on family and community.

Ida valued education and worked hard to earn her degrees from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, graduating with a B.B.A. in Business Education, a B.S. in Computer Science, and a B.S. in Business Administration. She devoted much of her professional life to the Northwest Domestic Crisis Center, where she served tirelessly as a coordinator. Her work reflected her deep compassion for others and her unwavering commitment to helping those in need. Even in retirement, Ida remained a strong advocate for the safety and rights of women.

She found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. Ida loved spending time with her family, watching movies, painting, and caring for her beloved chihuahuas. She also enjoyed outdoor events, arts and crafts, and listening to live country music. Above all, she treasured time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose visits brought her immense happiness.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Billie Carter; her brothers, James Wellman, Earl Wellman, and William Wellman; and her grandson, Brandon Baugh.

Ida will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and devoted love for her family. Her life touched many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Duane Gene Baugh; her sons, Shawn DeLynn and wife Shannon Baugh; Eryn Duane and wife Melissa Baugh; her daughter, Julia Janay Baugh Spencer; her grandchildren, Shanna and husband Jerry Bales, Shanda and husband Kevin Judge, Megan Baugh, Matthew Baugh, Jeremy Baugh, Janay Spencer, Jonathan Spencer, and Jaxon Spencer; her great-grandchildren, Chloe Bales, Hunter Bales, Rylee Judge, and Ryan Judge; her sister, Dorothy Jean Marquis Pritikes; and her brother, William Clyde Marquis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel in Guymon, OK with Pastor Tim Brittain officiating.

Eugene Thomas Miller

“The book of Life” closed on Eugene Thomas Miller, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Memphis Tennessee. He was born, Fredrick Eugene “Bo” Ham, on October 7, 1958, in Konawa, Oklahoma, to Stanford & Ida J. (McBroom) Ham. In February 1964, he and seven of his siblings, were put into the custody of the State of Oklahoma. He was the oldest of the three younger children, who went into group home / foster care. The five older, school age siblings, went to the Whitaker Children's Home in Pryor.

In 1965, Eugene got his new family, in Texas County, Oklahoma. He was adopted, by Eugene Robert “Gene” & Jo Marie (Ford) Miller, of Guymon, as their youngest child, joining, Bradley & Laurie Jean, in their happy home. He even got grandparents with the deal! Eugene grew up,a country boy, and he loved it. He adapted to family life, church, extended family, digging in the dirt, and farm chores, but first and foremost into 4-H. Oh how he reminisced about the happenings on the farm where he grew up, and the adventures and trips he made with the 4-H group. He graduated Guymon High School, and attended some college, at his mother's insistence, but not for long, because he thought he was ready to take on the world and “give it a whirl”. Eugene worked at many jobs, but had more tales to tell about the telephone company, the meat plant, in Kansas, and the Humane Society, than anything else.

Eugene was five years old, when his original family was dissolved, so he had some memories. He had always been called “Eugene”, so he kept that part of his name, which coincidentally was his new father's name too. His oldest sister, Mary, was twelve and she had a lot of recollections. When she got to Whitaker, she wrote down lots of things so she could remember to tell them to the kids later. When Mary was a senior in High School, she started looking for her siblings, and one by one, she located them. First, the other four Whitaker home kids, who later became foster kids; then the three younger adopted ones, which were much harder, because their names had been changed. But she never gave up. Mary found Eugene, in 2016, through his daughter's DNA, but she was looking in Texas, when he had moved to Tennessee. In September 2018, she found the two youngest brothers. It was February 2019, before Eugene popped up again, when he called Laurie, and she relayed the message, about his birth family trying to locate him. After 55 years. Mary's circle of lost family was all found. But in the interval of years, three of the siblings had died, Including the older brother, Andrew, who asked Mary, every time they talked “Did you find anything about the boys yet?” In July 2025, the five remaining siblings were all in the same room once again, to commemorate Mary & Dennis' 55th Anniversary. It was a surprise, and a joyous occasion, never to happen again.

Eugene was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alyssa Michelle “Lissy” Olson, parents, grandparents, sister, Laurie Green, brother Brad Miller; both birth parents, two birth sisters: Marie Ham & Goldie Ann Ham, two birth brothers: Andrew Ham, & Joe Ham, and one half-brother, Arnold Graham.

Survivors include his wife Aline Turner-Miller and grand nephew Justin, both of the home; two daughters, Shana Jean Olson & Tanya Marie Melton, nine grandchildren, his sister, Mary Oakley, and three brothers, Dave Ham, Steve Dickey / formerly Patrick Ham & Ken Clifton / formerly Dewey Ham; 8 nieces and 5 nephews. Service and burial was in Memphis, May 9, 2026.

Rayna Rosario Costilla, precious infant daughter of Karina Barco and Cameron Costilla, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas at 11 days old. Born on April 23, 2026, in Dumas, Texas, Rayna brought immense joy to her family.

Though her time on this earth was brief, she was deeply loved and cherished from the moment she took her first breath.

Rayna Rosario is survived by her loving parents, Karina Barco and Cameron Costilla, adoring sisters, Ily Barco, Viviana and Yaiza Costilla and brother, Carlos Costilla; Grandparents: Manuel Barco, Rosario Barco, Joe and Luly Costilla; Aunts: Erica Barco and Claudia Barco; Uncles: Junior Barco, Hugo Barco and Jorge Barco; Cousins: Julia Barco, Aidan Gonzalez, Xander Barco, Jaedon Barco, Elias Barco, Jaxon Barco, and Jayce Barco. She was welcomed into heaven by her Uncle Ray Manuel Barco, who surely held out his arms to welcome our little warrior. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors in Guymon, Oklahoma.
