What a day. 💚⚽️

Ric's Annual BDay Kickball Tournament took over Gorman Field this past Saturday, and the community showed up in a major way, teams, families, vendors, food, drinks, and music all day courtesy of DJ Smacks.
We came to celebrate and compete, but the real impact happened off the field. Buddies of NJ Inc. was on site offering free, confidential screenings, and community members left knowing their status, and with the peace of mind that comes with it.

That's what "kick it for a cause" means. Fun, family, competition, and community, all in one place.
Huge thank you to Buddies of NJ Inc., Hunger Free, Unity in the Community, DJ Smacks, our vendors, sponsors, and every single person who came out. This movement keeps growing because of you. 🙏🏽

🌟 Happy Juneteenth from all of us at Buddies of NJ. 🌟
On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today we honor that freedom, the strength and resilience of Black Americans, and the long road still ahead.
At NJB, freedom and equity aren't just history, they're at the heart of the work we do every day for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Health justice is freedom. Dignity is freedom. Community is freedom. And it belongs to everyone.
Let's keep celebrating, learning, and fighting for a more just and equitable future, together. 🖤❤️💚

June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day. First observed in 2014, it’s a day to honor long-term survivors of HIV and raise awareness about their needs, issues, and journeys.

March 10 marks the 20th National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day ( ).

Women accounted for 19% of new HIV diagnoses in 2023 but only 9% of PrEP users in 2024, highlighting a persistent gap in HIV prevention.

This NWGHAAD, we recognize the importance of connecting women to prevention, testing, treatment, and care at every stage of life.
