As BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, one message remains just as important: everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.
For too long, many people in BIPOC communities have been left out of conversations about eating disorders. That can make it harder to recognize symptoms, seek help, or feel understood.
While awareness months help shine a light on these important conversations, the need for inclusive education, representation, and equitable access to care continues all year long.

CBH Care was excited to celebrate the Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Eagle Emporium, Eastwick College Hackensack Campus' Resource Closet yesterday.
The Eagle Emporium was created to support student success by providing access to food, essential items, hygiene products, and career-ready clothing. This initiative reflects the generosity and collaboration of our campus community, the Student Representative Committee, and valued community partners like us.
Cutting the ribbon was Abylash George, Campus Director and Riya Raju, Dean of Students. Congratulations!

MHA of Dutchess County partnered with Haviland Middle School in Hyde Park, New York. The school came together for a great moment when all the students and faculty went out on the front lawn and lined up in a 988 formation. It is very important to raise awareness that 988 is the 911 for mental health.

Robin Williams once said:
“I believe the people who have been through the deepest sadness are the ones who try the hardest to make others happy.
Because they know firsthand what it feels like to be lost, broken…
and they never want anyone else to feel that way.”
Sometimes, the ones who bring the most light
carry the heaviest shadows.
Let’s be kind.
You never know the battles someone is fighting behind their smile.
🕊️ In memory of Robin, and all those who keep giving—even when they’re hurting.

Learn how intentional, positive language strengthens relationships, supports behavior, and helps children and young people feel capable, connected, and motivated.

Recognize how everyday language influences behavior, identity, and self-belief.
Shift from controlling or corrective language to language that guides and teaches.
Use words that promote responsibility, cooperation, and problem-solving.
Replace praise and criticism with feedback that builds confidence and effort.
Apply simple language swaps that work at home, in classrooms, and in community spaces.
