Did you know that having 5 or more sunburns doubles your risk of skin cancer? ☀️

Protect your family and yourself from skin cancer, sunburns, and early signs of aging by wearing broad spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30+ sunscreen and sun protective clothing. Also seek shade and plan activities for the early morning or evening to avoid the peak sunlight hours (10AM-4PM). 👩🏻‍⚕️

Acne is a common skin condition that affects people of all ages. 👩🏻‍⚕️ Our providers have years of experience diagnosing acne and providing effective, personalized treatment so you can get clear, healthy skin.

It's best to seek treatment at an early stage to prevent it from worsening and from long term complications like scars and hyperpigmentation.

We offer a range of treatment options including prescription topical treatments, oral medications, and corticosteroid injections which provide stronger, more effective solutions than over-the-counter products.

Schedule an appointment for you or your family by giving us a call or through our website! 👩🏻‍⚕️

Don’t forget your scalp! When it comes to the sun, protecting your scalp is as important as protecting the rest of your skin! 👩🏻‍⚕️

It's great biking weather! Before you head out, make sure to check out these sun safety tips! 🚲

1) Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and lip balm with SPF about 30 minutes before going outside.
2) Wear UPF (sun-protective) long sleeves and long pants and UV-blocking sunglasses. Also wear a bike helmet with a visor or a thin cycling cap (underneath the helmet) to protect your scalp and face.
3) Bring a small, travel-sized sunscreen with you so you can reapply it every two hours (or sooner if you get sweaty).
4) Plan your bike ride for the early morning or evening to avoid the sun's harsh midday rays (10AM-4PM).
5) Choose shaded routes.

Happy trails! 👩🏻‍⚕️

Dress with sun safety in mind! ☀️ UPF 50+ sun protective clothing blocks about 98% of the sun's harmful UV rays which helps to protect your skin from sunburns, skin cancer, and premature signs of aging. It provides long-lasting sun protection and covers a large portion of your body. Plus, there's no need to reapply.

Here are dermatologists' top tips for what to wear:
1. Loose-fitting, tightly woven, lightweight, long-sleeved shirt and full-length pants. Choose dark or bright colors.
2. A wide-brimmed hat with a brim of 3 inches or greater, made from a dark, tightly woven fabric (not a loosely constructed straw hat with holes).
3. Choose oversized sunglasses or a wrap-around frame. Look for the UV 400 or "100% UV protection" label on the tag.

Of course, for complete sun protection, you also need to wear SPF 30+ broad spectrum sunscreen and seek shade. 👩🏻‍⚕️

Sunscreen is one of the easiest ways to protect your skin — but only if you’re using it correctly. ☀️

1. Use broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+).
2. Apply sunscreen about 30 minutes before going outside.
3. Reapply it every 2 hours (or after swimming or sweating).
4. Check the expiration date. If there is none listed then check the smell, texture, and color of the sunscreen. If anything seems off, toss it.
5. Don’t store sunscreen in hot places (like your car, beach bag or a hot, humid bathroom).

Stay sun safe this Memorial Day (and every day)! 👩🏻‍⚕️

While some makeup products may contain sunscreen as an ingredient, people often don’t apply enough of it to adequately protect their skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. 🧴

It’s best to first apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to your face and then apply your makeup afterward. In general, you should apply at least one teaspoon of sunscreen to your face. ☀️

Don’t forget to reapply sunscreen about every two hours when you’re outdoors. 👩🏻‍⚕️
