Dear Valued Bergen Ear, Nose and Throat Patient,
We hope everyone has stayed safe during this past nine months of social distancing. The current COVID-19 pandemic has been a long road. Together, we have taken actions to safeguard the health and safety of ourselves and of our communities. We will continue to take these actions but also must continue to address important medical needs.
As the case numbers rise and the risks of COVID-19 increase, it is important to prioritize and continue care, including essential surgeries and procedures, chronic disease care, and, ultimately, preventive care.
To ensure your health care needs are met we are continuing to care with stringent safety measures in place and we are also continuing to offer telemedicine visits.
You may be hesitant to seek in-person care during the pandemic but please know that we are prepared. For the safety and well-being of our patients and in-office teams, we are reinforcing best practices and careful considerations at all our facilities, including:
• Strict social and physical distancing measures, such as
minimizing time in waiting areas, spacing chairs at least 6 feet
apart, and maintaining low patient volumes.
• If you would prefer to wait in your car we are happy to
accommodate you and call you when it is time for you to be
seen.
• Please note we encourage efficient visits to limit exposure to
you and our staff, telemedicine visits are also available.
• Restricting visitors unless they are medically necessary.
• Universal screening of all patients and employees - if you have
had contact with anyone that has COVID-19 or have
symptoms of COVID-19 yourself including fever, cough,
difficulty breathing, decreased or loss of smell or taste,
diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue you should quarantine at home for
2 weeks.
• Rigorous cleaning and disinfecting, concentrating on
frequently touched surfaces, exam rooms and terminals and
including air-purifiers in all rooms including the waiting room.
• Mandating a mask or face covering for all patients, visitors,
and employees always while in the office, in accordance with
CDC recommendations.
With these assurances, we hope you do not delay making an appointment for essential care.
Call your provider, reach out by portal message, or call Bergen Ear, Nose and Throat at 201-489-6520 to determine which type of visit will work best to meet your needs.
Thank you for being a loyal Bergen Ear, Nose and Throat patient.
