Conscious dance is a free form movement practice. No choreography. No experience required.

I offer gentle guidance to help you reconnect to your body. The music then carries you into your own dance journey. It's a beautiful practice that recognizes dance as a medicine.

We dance barefoot.

A frequent conversation in the therapy room. Touch between couples creates the same bond that mothers and infants share. When touch becomes less frequent between partners, a couple's bond becomes more fragile and compassion and empathy feel harder to access.

Touch is one of the most powerful regulators of safety and connection in a relationship.
Couples who make physical affection a daily habit—hugs, hand-holding, back rubs, quiet cuddles—tend to feel closer, fight fairer, and repair faster.
And not every post is for everyone. If this isn’t your language of connection, that’s okay. The point is to find your way back to warmth and presence.

Most people are familiar with fight, flight and freeze but many are not as familiar with FAWN.

In the most basic sense, people who identify as “PEOPLE PLEASERS”, or who are CONFLICT AVOIDANT, operate from the fawn state.

🔶

People who fawn often don’t state their truth, OVER-APOLOGIZE and/or TRY NOT TO "ROCK THE BOAT".

🔶

Recently, my client and I explored INTIMACY AND REJECTION. It always seems “easier” to fawn in order to lower the risk of being rejected or abandoned.

🔶

While it may seem as though you avoid rejection by fawning, another type of rejection emerges. When you don’t speak your truth, or when you try to keep the peace, you ABANDON yourself.

🔶

This shifts from OTHER-REJECTION to SELF-REJECTION because you prioritize the other person’s needs and desires over your own.

🔶

YOU REJECT AND ABANDON WHAT MATTERS TO YOU.

FACT: Thoughts are not facts.

The mind produces thoughts the way lungs produce breath.
They come whether you invite them or not.

Some thoughts feel urgent.
Some try to convince you they’re facts.
But a thought is only an event in the mind—
not a command, not a prediction, not a truth you must obey.

🌿 Today, try this:
when a thought pulls you in, silently say,
“Just passing through.”
No argument. No shame.
Just awareness and release.

Your job isn’t to control the guests.
It’s to remember you’re the one who owns the house.

Your nervous system takes cues in from the environment through sound, taste, sight, touch and scent. 👂🏼👅👀🤚🏼👃🏼

It then creates a perception of these experiences which morph into thoughts in your brain. 🧠

These thoughts then translate into beliefs about self/the world. 🌎

You may think that your beliefs start with your thoughts in the brain, but in actuality, the journey to the formation of your beliefs starts through your senses and your nervous system.
