If your overhead lifts feel restricted, don’t just look at the shoulders—look at the thoracic spine.

As a sports chiropractor, I often find that limited mid-back mobility can affect overhead mechanics, leading to compensation at the shoulders, neck, or low back. Thoracic mobilizations and manipulations can help restore motion, improve positioning, and support more efficient overhead movement.

Whether you’re pressing, snatching, throwing, or serving, better thoracic mobility can mean better movement quality and performance.

Move better. Lift better. Perform better. 💪

Training for HYROX isn’t just about pushing harder—it’s about training smarter.

If you’re putting in the work for a competition, your care team should understand exactly what you’re training for. Your goals, your race demands, your timeline—they all matter. Seeing a provider who understands HYROX means your treatment isn’t generic… it’s built to keep you moving, recovering, and performing when it counts.

Whether it’s managing volume, staying ahead of injuries, or optimizing movement under fatigue, the right care can be the difference between just finishing and truly competing.

Train with purpose. Recover with intention. Compete at your best.

Fix the foundation, not just the pain.

Shoulder instability doesn’t come from one problem—it’s a combination of poor muscle balance, joint mechanics, and movement patterns. In this session, we’re breaking that cycle with targeted soft tissue work, joint mobilization, and a clear game plan for the gym so this patient can heal and stay strong.
Treatment is only part of the process.

The real results come from moving better after you leave the table.

Osteoporosis vs. Osteoarthritis — they sound similar, but they’re VERY different

Osteoporosis = weak, brittle bones
➡️ Loss of bone density → higher fracture risk (often “silent” until a break)

Osteoarthritis = joint wear & tear
➡️ Cartilage breakdown → pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility
Understanding the difference is key to getting the right care, staying active, and protecting your long-term health.

If you’re dealing with pain, stiffness, or just want to move better—don’t ignore it.

Is your knee pain really your IT band… or are we blaming the wrong structure?

Research shows the IT band isn’t something you can “stretch” or “release” the way most people think. It’s a dense, load-transferring tissue. More often, the issue is how surrounding muscles—like the vastus lateralis—are managing force and tension.

Here I’m using Active Release Technique on the vastus lateralis to reduce lateral thigh tension and improve load distribution at the knee for a competitive runner.

Translation: treat the system, not just the symptom.

If you’re a runner dealing with lateral knee pain, it might be time to look beyond the IT band.
