“That prenatal visit was so quick!” 👶🤰

We hear it all the time—and we get it. Sometimes your prenatal visit may feel fast, but there is a purpose behind every question we ask and every check we perform.

At each visit, we’re looking at the bigger picture:

🩺 Blood Pressure – Screening for conditions like preeclampsia and gestational hypertension.

👶 Baby’s Heart Rate – Making sure your little one is thriving between ultrasounds.

📏 Fundal Height – Tracking baby’s growth and monitoring for changes that may need a closer look.

🧪 Urine Testing – Looking for signs of infection, protein, or other concerns that can affect pregnancy.

💬 Your Questions & Symptoms – Because how you’re feeling matters just as much as the numbers.

While each visit may seem routine, these simple checks help us identify potential concerns early and keep both mom and baby healthy throughout pregnancy.

Every measurement. Every heartbeat. Every question. It all has a purpose. ❤️

💕 What an incredible day celebrating strength, resilience, and hope. 💕
As OB/GYN providers, we are often the first step in a patient’s breast health journey. Sometimes that means helping identify a concern, ordering that first mammogram, or supporting a patient through the difficult path of a breast cancer diagnosis.

That is why it is such an honor for Capital Women’s Care Hagerstown to sponsor the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Survivor Celebration.

Seeing so many survivors together, sharing stories, laughter, and encouragement, is a powerful reminder of why early detection and compassionate care matter.

To all the survivors—we celebrate you. Your courage inspires us every day. 💗

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special event possible and for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful celebration.

* Helps protect newborns from whooping cough

✅ Influenza (Flu) Vaccine
* Recommended during any trimester during flu season
* Protects against severe flu-related complications

✅ COVID-19 Vaccine
* Recommended during pregnancy
* Helps reduce the risk of severe illness and may provide protective antibodies to the baby

🦴 Strong bones matter at every stage of life. 🦴
Have you had a DEXA scan?
A DEXA (bone density) scan is a quick, painless test that measures bone strength and helps detect osteopenia and osteoporosis before a fracture happens.

You may benefit from a DEXA scan if you:
✔️ Are age 65 or older
✔️ Are postmenopausal
✔️ Have a family history of osteoporosis
✔️ Have experienced a fracture from a minor fall or injury
✔️ Take certain medications that can affect bone health
✔️ Have risk factors such as smoking, low body weight, or certain medical conditions

At Capital Women’s Care, we make it easy with convenient in-office DEXA scanning as part of our commitment to comprehensive women’s health.
📞 Ask your provider if you’re due for a bone density screening and take an important step toward protecting your future health.

Ladies, we have a confession...

We don't care what your underwear looks like. We don't care if you shaved. We don't care if your socks match. We don't even care if you apologize for any of the above. 😉

What we do care about is that you come in for your annual well-woman exam.

Preventive care matters. Regular visits help us stay on top of your health, answer your questions, and catch problems early—before they become bigger issues.

So skip the stress, leave the embarrassment at the door, and schedule that appointment. We've seen it all, and we're just happy you're here. ❤️
