The Arc is seeking a Senior Director of Community Living Programs to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for adult residential services supporting approximately 150 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Washington County, Maryland.

This impactful leadership role provides the opportunity to guide a dedicated team, enhance service excellence, and ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centered support that promotes choice, dignity, independence, health, safety, and community inclusion.

The Senior Director will champion Person-Centered Thinking principles while ensuring compliance with agency, local, state, federal, and DDA requirements, as well as CARF accreditation standards. This position plays a key role in advancing organizational goals, improving outcomes, and strengthening programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.

🎉 Happy 13th Workiversary to our Executive Director, Troy Van Scoyoc! 🎉

Today, we are celebrating a massive milestone! For over a decade, Troy has been the captain steering our ship here at The Arc of Washington County, and what an incredible journey it has been. 🚢✨

Thirteen years of visionary leadership, dedication, and heart means so much to our community. Troy doesn't just run the ship—he builds a team where people always come first. By introducing the Person-Centered Philosophy to our organization, he has deeply increased satisfaction for both the people we support and our amazing staff.

Under his leadership, The Arc of Washington County has achieved incredible heights, including being named the 2024 Chamber of Commerce Best Large Business and the award-winning 2025 Best Nonprofit! 🏆

Troy envisioned, empowered, and transformed our 820 and 840 buildings through a monumental $6M capital campaign. His dedication has ensured we remain financially stable for decades to come, solidifying our place as a true pillar in the community.

☀️ Great Weather. Great Fun. Great Memories!

Our Outreach Personal Supports program had a wonderful time visiting the Washington County Ag Expo & Fair in July! From enjoying the beautiful weather to exploring the exhibits, animals, delicious fair food, and entertainment, everyone had a fantastic day in the community.

These outings provide opportunities to build friendships, experience new activities, and create lasting memories while having fun together.

We can't wait for our next adventure!
