Pay: $46,800.00 - $54,080.00 per year

Job description:
Technicians are a key component of patient care and the efficient operation of any pharmacy. Vital Care of Hagerstown, a rapidly growing provider of home infusion and specialty pharmacy services, is looking for a certified pharmacy technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, friendly, organized, self-directed, interested in learning new skills and new therapies, and dependable.

Responsibilities:
Data entry, benefits verification, prior authorizations, and insurance billing
Medication and supply preparation
Sterile compounding
Maintaining an organized work area
Patient/Caregiver interactions, by phone and in person
Communication with physician staff in a friendly and efficient manner
Inventory ordering and management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Pharmacy technician certification preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
Previous experience working in a pharmacy or clinical setting
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with IV medication preparation () preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
