Today, on Autistic Pride Day, we are proud to highlight our Lester Place residential program for youth which provides a specialized, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can build life skills, gain independence, and thrive. Through individualized treatment, sensory-friendly opportunities, educational support, life skills workshops, and compassionate care, Lester Place empowers each child to reach their full potential.

Autistic Pride Day is a reminder that neurodiversity is something to be respected, valued, and celebrated!

What a great day at the Run for Woods! 💜💚

Legacy Treatment Services was proud to join Woods System of Care and fellow affiliates for this inspiring annual event, which raised an incredible $350,000 in support of Woods’ mission and the individuals and families served across the system.

We were grateful to have members of the Legacy Foundation Board and Legacy staff represented, including Foundation Board member John Janthor and his wife, Maureen Janthor.

Congratulations to all of the runners, walkers, supporters, volunteers, and the overall run winner for making the day such a success!

As a proud Woods affiliate, Legacy is honored to be part of a system of care committed to helping individuals of all abilities access the support, services, and opportunities they need to thrive.

At Legacy Treatment Services, our mission is to help individuals move from surviving to thriving- and few stories capture that mission more powerfully than Adeyemi “A.D.” Sheppard’s.

From client to colleague, A.D. Sheppard’s story is a powerful reminder of what recovery, hope, and support can make possible.

After first coming to Legacy as a client 20 years ago facing homelessness, depression, instability, and crisis, A.D. now serves as a Peer Support Specialist, using his lived experience to help others believe that life can look different on the other side of crisis.

🏆 National Recognition for CIT-NJ! 🏆

Legacy Treatment Services is proud to celebrate national recognition for CIT-NJ, a statewide program that plays a vital role in strengthening crisis response across New Jersey.

CIT-NJ, or Crisis Intervention Team New Jersey, is a collaborative statewide initiative that brings together law enforcement, behavioral health professionals, 9-1-1 telecommunicators, EMS, peers, veterans services, schools, and community partners to improve outcomes for individuals and families experiencing crisis.

As part of CIT-NJ, Legacy is proud to help support this important work and advance compassionate, informed, and effective crisis response across all 21 New Jersey counties. Through collaboration, training, and strong community partnerships, CIT-NJ helps ensure that individuals experiencing mental health, behavioral health, substance use, or other crisis-related needs are met with dignity, understanding, and appropriate care.

This national recognition from CIT International honors outstanding leadership, innovation, collaboration, and dedication to advancing the Crisis Intervention Team model. It also reflects the commitment of the entire CIT-NJ family and statewide partners working together to make a meaningful difference every day.

We are incredibly proud to be part of CIT-NJ and grateful for the teams and partners helping build a more responsive and compassionate crisis care system throughout New Jersey. 💙💚
