The last two days the residents got outside and enjoyed some of the sunshine! Our residents had a wonderful time taking golf cart rides around the community and soaking up some fresh air on the patio.

The excitement didn't stop there though! Today we closed out our highlighted state, Indiana, as residents gathered for the highly anticipated Kittson 500 Race, where competition was fierce and the crowd was roaring! 🏁

Congratulations to Gordy Bernstrom, our Kittson 500 Champion! 🏆 Your speed, skill, and determination earned you the victory in this action-packed dice race game!

The day ended with watching highlights of the 2026 Indy 500 and a social for the residents!

Stay tuned for the end of June for our next state, Kentucky! 🏇🌹

We want to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who brought their beautiful cars out for our residents to enjoy at the nursing home. Your time, generosity, and willingness to share something you love made such a meaningful impact on everyone here!

The smiles, stories, and conversations that filled the day were truly special. Residents reminisced with cool root beer floats in hand about their first cars, favorite road trips, classic models they once owned, and memories shared with family and friends. Events like this do so much more than provide entertainment — they spark connection, encourage social interaction, and bring joy and excitement into our residents’ lives.

These moments are incredibly important for quality of life, and they simply would not happen without caring volunteers who are willing to get involved and give back to our community. Your kindness and presence reminded our residents that they are valued, remembered, and supported.

We will continue to highlight our state of Indiana this week with trivia, a fun car game and watching highlights of the Indy 500! 🏎️

🌺🌸Moments in Bloom was our theme for Nursing Home week. 🌸🌼
Monday-We played garden dice game and made pudding cups .
Tuesday -we had Lancaster high school choir and band .🎷🎼
Wednesday - We had a grill out for staff and residents. We also played Dauber bingo and had photos taken in front of the Live in the Moment banner .
Thursday -Cailey Nicholson came and we made  sun catchers.
Friday we ended the week with getting our sillies out with Silly string , snack with coffee and flower cookies made by Casey and making a carnation bouquet with the Bloomery.💐

A little bit of spring goes a long way 💐

Thank you to everyone who purchased flowers and helped us bring a touch of spring to our residents this May Day.

With the help of Burgess Greenhouse, 52 beautiful plants were delivered—one for each resident of our nursing home & assisted living, with a few extra to brighten shared spaces too!

Your kindness truly made a difference and brought smiles throughout our nursing home and assisted living.
