The Hibiscus plant, which was initially relocated from my father’s house in Powderly, Texas, to College Station in 2017, and later moved to my mother’s house in Hallsville, Texas, in 2023, has found its permanent home at my house in 2024. One of the roots was sectioned by my dad for transplantation. This plant has demonstrated remarkable hardiness, making it one of the most durable plants I’ve planted.

While volunteering at the City of Marshall Pet Adoption Center in June 2024, a 4–6 month-old puppy with a wagging tail and sweet face stole my heart. We started fostering him (his name was Ben), and after a couple of weeks—and seeing how well he fit in with Ryka and Major—we knew he was staying.
Now he’s Ollie, and between his underbite, funny bark/howl, and constant finger nibbling, he keeps us laughing every day. We’re so grateful he’s part of our family.

Some of the dog walkers and playgroup team are volunteering at the City of Marshall Pet Adoption Center to help with the Tour for Life hosted by North Shore Animal Protection League. This event is happening all week. The North Shore Animal Protection League has taken in many of the dogs and cats from our shelter. Thankful they help so many dogs and cats find families. 🐾🥰 ❤️

Spotlighting our lovable and extremely smart dog Major! Agility goes to a whole new level when Major is performing! My hubby said he was doing “Agilitree” (get it?) when Major climbs up fallen trees and runs over trees that crossover creeks. Major lets our younger dog “Ollie” paw@at him, tackle, and annoyingly bark at him. Major is one cool dog! Happy we adopted him from Urgent Animals of Robertson County back in 2019. 🐾🥰
