Five hours of sleep is the usable threshold for most training. Below four hours, the workout becomes junk mileage with injury risk attached.
The same pace that normally feels like a 4 on the RPE scale will feel like a 5 after just one bad night. Your VO2 max measurably drops even though nothing about your fitness changed.
So where's the line between "modify the workout" and "skip it entirely"? 🏃♀️
