What a beautiful evening spent celebrating the Summer Solstice through nature, reflection, education, movement, and community. The sun was out at the start of the session, I have proof!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the summer solstice nervous system workshop. Together we explored the connection between nature and the nervous system, discussed evidence-based strategies for regulation and wellbeing, connected with the farm and animals, and practiced slowing down enough to notice the world..(& wind😅) around us.

I'm incredibly grateful for everyone's participation, openness, and willingness to embrace the experience...even with a few weather adjustments along the way. I'm so thankful to have met you all & make.all of the connections and be reminded that our world is so beautifully small!

As we move into a season filled with abundant daylight, may you continue finding opportunities to step outside, engage your senses, and reconnect with the natural world around you. Nature has so much to teach us when we take the time to listen.

Thank you for being part of it.

Thank you to for our sample packs and for the protein beverages!

☀️ Workshop Sponsor Spotlight ☀️

I'm excited to share that LMNT is partnering with our Summer Solstice Nature & Nervous System Workshop by providing electrolyte drink mix sample packs for participants!

Hydration plays a critical role in how we feel, think, move, and function. From energy levels and focus to muscle function and overall wellbeing, our bodies rely on adequate fluids and electrolytes to perform their best, especially during stressful times and the humid summer months.

As we spend the evening outdoors exploring the connection between nature, nervous system regulation, movement, and seasonal wellbeing, participants will receive LMNT samples to take home and try for themselves.

I'm grateful to collaborate with brands that support health, wellness, and community education.

Thank you, LMNT, for helping us stay hydrated and support a healthier summer!

There's still time to register if you'd like to join us for an evening of:

🌿 What will you actually learn at this workshop?

This isn't just a nature walk on a gorgeous farm or tailored meditation.

As an occupational therapist, I'll be teaching practical, evidence-based information about how nature impacts the nervous system and why so many people feel stuck in a cycle of stress, overstimulation, exhaustion, and burnout.

We'll explore:
What "fight or flight" actually means and how it shows up in daily life.

How nature provides sensory input that helps regulate the nervous system

The difference between feeling calm and being regulated

Practical ways to use nature as a tool for stress management and wellbeing

How to recognize signs of nervous system dysregulation in yourself

Simple strategies to feel more grounded, focused, and connected

We'll combine education, reflection, sensory experiences, a farm tour, guided activities, and meditation to help you enter summer feeling more intentional and less overwhelmed.

If you've been craving a reset, this event was designed for you.

Some people may be hesitant to participate in this course since I am " just an occupational therapist" and may be wondering what qualifies me to facilitate this...

Occupational therapy encompasses the study of people, their environments, their routines, and how physical, emotional, sensory, cognitive, and social factors influence health, wellbeing, and participation in daily life.

Throughout my education and career, I've studied neuroscience, mental health, sensory processing, nervous system regulation, human development, anatomy, physiology, behavior, environmental influences, and the connection between meaningful activities and overall holistic wellbeing.

More recently, my passion for nature and it's connection to our development and wellbeing has turned into its own project.

Nature-based practice is an area I'm especially passionate about because research continues to show the powerful effects that natural environments, movement, sunlight, sensory experiences, and social connection can have on stress, mood, attention, sleep, and nervous system regulation.

This Summer Solstice workshop isn't therapy. It's community education rooted in evidence-based concepts, professional knowledge, and a deep appreciation for the ways nature supports human health.

I'm excited to bring together science, nature, reflection, and meaningful connection in a way that feels accessible, practical, and restorative.

Summer Solstice Nature Workshop

More details to follow 🌿✨

What if entering summer felt intentional instead of overwhelming?

As we approach the Summer Solstice, I’m considering hosting a small outdoor nature-based workshop centered around nervous system regulation, grounding, reflection, and seasonal intention setting.

As an occupational therapist, I’m deeply interested in how nature, sunlight, movement, and seasonal rhythms impact our nervous systems and overall wellbeing.

This would be a gentle evening experience focused on nature connection, general nervous system education, guided grounding & meditation, light refreshments, and possibly functional beverages available for an additional purchase.

The evening would include light movement, education, reflection, discussion, and time outdoors on a beautiful farm property as we intentionally transition into summer.

Participants would be required to bring:
A yoga mat or blanket
Comfortable clothes/shoes for a farm tour
possibly a pen/pencil for reflection activities

This is NOT yoga-focused or exercise-focused. It would be more of a restorative nervous system and nature immersion experience.

*Edit -
It will be geared towards women, but I can tailor it if men sign up.

This will not be a child-friendly event, but we are working on planning some!

I’m currently gauging interest before finalizing details/date and cost involved.

If this sounds like something you’d attend or want more information about, comment below or message me ☀️

Your nervous system isn’t a TikTok trend, don’t let someone with zero training “teach” you how to regulate it.
