When it comes to your health, no question is too small, too "awkward," or too complicated. At Generations OB/GYN, we believe that empowerment starts with education. We know there is a lot of conflicting advice online, so we are dedicated to being your source for clear, accurate, and compassionate answers.

Here are a few common questions we often discuss in our exam rooms:
- β€œIs my period normal?" Cycles vary from person to person, but extreme pain or heavy bleeding usually warrants a conversation.
- "When should I start mammograms?" Guidelines can change based on family history, but typically around age 40. We can help you determine your personal timeline.
- "What birth control is right for me?" There is no one-size-fits-all answer. We look at your lifestyle and health history to find the best fit.

The more you know about your body, the better decisions you can make for your future. We are here to guide you every step of the way without judgment.

Do you have a question you've been meaning to ask? Schedule an appointment to discuss in person. Existing patients can reach out to their providers via MyChart.

The journey to motherhood doesn't end the moment you leave the hospital. In fact, the weeks following childbirth- often called the fourth trimester- are a time of profound change. At Generations OB/GYN, we believe caring for the mother is just as important as caring for the baby.

Whether you are healing physically, navigating breastfeeding challenges, or adjusting to the emotional rollercoaster of life with a newborn, you don't have to do it alone. Our compassionate team is dedicated to supporting your recovery and ensuring you feel heard and held during this transition.

Postpartum checkups are a vital part of your health journey. They give us a chance to check on your physical healing, discuss your emotional well-being and mental health, and answer questions about sleep, feeding, and family planning.

Be gentle with yourself, and remember: we are your partners in this new chapter. If you are due for a postpartum visit or need support, please call our office today.

Meet Dr. Maria Asis, M.D., FACOG β€” a board-certified OB/GYN who believes that great women's health starts with the whole person, not just a single symptom.

Her dedication to teaching has been recognized with the Lee Buxton Award for Medical Student Teaching (2017) and the Stanley Lavietes Award for Resident Teaching (2022).
