Today, Anchor Health joins communities around the world in marking Zero HIV Stigma Day. 0๏ธโฃโค๏ธ
HIV stigma is more than hurtful language or negative attitudes. It creates fear, discourages people from testing and seeking care, deepens inequality, and prevents members of our community from living openly and with dignity.
Awareness is important, but awareness alone is not enough. We must turn what we know into action.
We call on everyone to actively challenge HIV stigma wherever it appears. Correct misinformation. Reject discriminatory language. Speak up when people living with HIV are judged or excluded.
Being silent in the presence of stigma allows it to continue. Each of us can choose to become an ally and an active stigma fighter.
At Anchor Health, we remain committed to building a community where every person, regardless of HIV status, receives respect, support, high-quality healthcare, and equal opportunities.
This Zero HIV Stigma Day, let us move from awareness to action. Let us listen, learn, speak up, and stand together until HIV stigma has no place in our homes, health care facilities, workplaces, schools, and community.
Be informed! Be compassionate! Be vocal! Be someone who actively fights HIV stigma.
