Say hello to our wonderful team member, Sheree! More than five years ago, Sheree’s journey with Azelea started after her sister encouraged her to apply. She joined the Dining Department in the Assisted Living dining room, where her strong work ethic and genuine care quickly left a lasting impression. The residents truly appreciate her dedication, reliability, and the kindness she brings to her role each day. When Sheree isn’t at work, she treasures quiet moments at home or quality time with her sisters or daughter. Music fills her soul, especially R&B and slow jams, which she enjoys listening to alongside her family, creating memories filled with warmth and togetherness. We are grateful to have her as part of the Azelea family and appreciate all that she does to brighten the lives of those around her.

We have been enjoying a new brain health lecture series. The Fundamentals of Brain Health developed by Posit Science is a course crafted to sharpen attention, enhance memory, accelerate mental speed, and support overall brain health. Each week, we meet to learn, discuss and improve!

This month's resident spotlights are Roseanne & Jim Surace! They got married in 1959 after meeting at a church dance. Rosanne worked for the New Jersey Social Security office before devoting herself to raising their three sons, James, Michael, and Steven. James spent many years working in HVAC until his retirement. Together, they built a loving family that now includes ten grandchildren, who bring them endless joy, especially during cherished family gatherings. Rosanne enjoys word puzzles and fondly recalling the many evenings she and James spent dancing together, a pastime they both loved. James enjoys socializing with fellow residents at Azalea and relaxing while watching his favorite television shows. Together, Rosanne and James are a beautiful example of lasting love, a couple whose life together has been shaped by devotion, friendship, and a lifetime of shared memories.

What a beautiful day for planting and growing together at Azalea! 🌷🌿 Our residents spent the day getting their hands dirty, planting flowers, herbs, and greenery while enjoying the sunshine and fresh spring air. We can’t wait to see our garden grow!

To kick off the celebrations, we enjoyed an afternoon tea complete with delicious treats, lovely decorations, and wonderful company. It was truly a special day spent honoring the amazing mothers and mother figures in our community. We are grateful for the love, wisdom, and kindness they share with us every day.
