We are happy to discuss Porkchops care with his new foster family! He’s got a lot going on…including some wonky knee caps that don’t like to stay where they’re meant to but he’s such a sweetie! We’d love to get him doing some physical therapy with his new foster family!

Two rabid bats were recently discovered in Missoula. Rabies is a deadly neurological disease that can be prevented with the Rabies vaccine. Please give us a call if you think your dog may need a booster.

Pet owners whose animals are not vaccinated or whose shots have lapsed are urged to schedule an appointment with their veterinarian as soon as possible.

DEQ wants to remind waterfowl hunters to check the water before your dog gets in or drinks out of a pond or lake. Harmful algal blooms (HABs), or cyanobacteria, can cause illness and death in dogs. HABs may appear like pea soup, spilled paint, grass clippings, or discolored water. If your dog gets into water you suspect is a HAB, rinse them off with clean water right away and don’t let them lick their fur. Contact a veterinarian immediately if your pet seems sick. Learn more about HABs, what to look for, and active caution advisories based on citizen reports at hab.mt.gov.
