To her daughters, Sherry was the center of their world-the glue that held everything together. In addition to all these attributes, she was also a phenomenal cook whose dishes will be sorely missed.

David Kerr passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, hard work, devotion, and friendship that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

David was a man who believed in earning everything he had. His work ethic was second to none, and he approached life with determination, grit, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. Those who worked alongside him knew they could count on him, and those who knew him personally understood that his character was built on honesty, perseverance, and loyalty.

While David was known for his toughness in his younger years, time revealed an even greater quality within him—a kind and generous heart. The hard-nosed young man grew into a gentle giant whose humility, compassion, and friendship touched countless lives.

Few things brought David more joy than spending time with family and friends. Whether gathered around sharing stories and laughter or simply enjoying each other's company, he treasured the relationships that made life meaningful. He also had a deep passion for motorcycles and the freedom they represented. The open road, the camaraderie of fellow riders, and the adventures along the way were among his greatest pleasures.

Above all else, David's greatest pride and accomplishment was his son, Samuel Kerr. For the past eighteen years, David devoted himself to raising Sam, loving him unconditionally, guiding him through life's challenges, and celebrating every success along the way. The bond between father and son was evident to everyone who knew them. David's love for Sam was steadfast, selfless, and immeasurable, and it remained the defining purpose of his life.

David also shared a special bond with his beloved nephews, Garrett and Gavin Pennington. He loved them deeply and took great pride in watching them grow. Whether offering encouragement, sharing laughter, or simply being present, he treasured every opportunity to be part of their lives.

In recent years, David experienced something that brought him profound peace and hope: a newfound relationship with Jesus Christ. His salvation became an important part of his life, and those closest to him witnessed the comfort, strength, and assurance that his faith provided. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, there is comfort in knowing that his journey did not end here.

David is survived by his father Bobby Williams, his son, Samuel Kerr; his brothers Tommy Pennington (Nataline), Chris Pennington (Audrey), Joshua Harris (Chasity), Joey Eads (Amy), Shane Eads (Dana), and Kyle Eads (Fabiola), and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

The world is a little quieter without David in it, but everyone who knew him is better for having shared part of the journey with him. His strength, kindness, friendship, and love will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him, and his memory will be carried forward by the many lives he touched.

The family will receive friends on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 12:00 until 2:00 at Landmark Church located at 1102 Sentry Road, Hamilton, AL 35570.
