Becky Lynn French, age 58 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at UC Medical Center. She was born on May 20, 1968 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Delmer Lee and Joyce Ann (Minor) Bryant. Becky was a graduate of New Miami High School class of 1986 and had worked at Hamilton Municipal Court for many years. On July 10, 1987 she married her husband of 40 years, Robert “Bob” French. Becky is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Bobby (Sarah) French, Bryant (Stephany) French, and Billy (Chelsey Pressler) French; grandchildren, Bronson, Brayden, Rylee, Gavin, Fischer, Blake, Wes, Remi, and Fletcher; sisters, Theresa (Roger) Creech and Deanna Bryant; several nieces and nephews; and too many friends to name.

She was a woman whose heart was fullest when she was surrounded by the people she loved most. Her family was her world, and she loved her children and grandbabies with everything she had. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them, and her love was shown in a thousand little ways every single day. Becky also spent 22 years working for the City of Hamilton, where she built lasting friendships and cherished the people who became her work family.

Becky and her beloved husband, Bob, shared a love story that began long before they ever imagined the life they would build together. They started out as childhood best friends, and that special friendship blossomed into a lifelong love that lasted 40 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, memories, and a family that meant everything to them.

Some of her happiest moments were spent sitting beside her pool, soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the peace of the moment, and watching the people she loved make memories together. Her poolside days were a reflection of the life she loved—simple, happy, and surrounded by family.

She had a special gift for cooking, and anyone who sat at her table knew just how much love went into every meal she made. Her kitchen was a place where family gathered, stories were shared, laughter filled the room, and nobody ever left hungry. To her, cooking was one of the many ways she showed how much she cared.

More than anything, she loved having her family together. Holidays, cookouts, Sunday dinners, or just an ordinary day spent with the people she loved were what made life meaningful to her. She understood that the best memories weren’t always made during big occasions, but in the everyday moments when everyone was together.

Though her family will miss her hugs, her cooking, her laughter, her bingo games, her bargain-hunting adventures, and the comfort of simply being near her, they will carry her love with them always. They will remember her every time they gather around a table, every time they share a meal, every time they sit in the sunshine by the pool, and every time they look at their children and grandchildren and see the beautiful legacy of love she left behind. Her husband, Bob, will forever cherish the life they shared and the countless moments that made their life together so special.

She may no longer be here physically, to bring everyone together, but the love she planted in each of their hearts will continue to do just that.

Her greatest legacy was never measured in things she owned or places she went, but in the husband she cherished, the family she adored, the memories she made, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Our sympathies go out to the family of Etta Ingram during this difficult time.

It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Etta Mae (Atyeo) Ingram – daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born on September 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Walter Baker and Kathryn “Alice” (Hartman) Atyeo Baker. Etta married her husband, Clifford Lavern Ingram, on December 14, 1956 and they celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing in 1998. They met in 1952 while working at Dirina Dry Cleaners, and they had two daughters together, Carma Lea (Ingram) Pulawski and Judy Lynn (Ingram) Horsley. Carma now lives in Florida with her spouse, Mark. Etta adored her two grandsons and was very proud of their accomplishments, Michael Faustine Pulawski and Evan Ingram Pulawski. Judy lives in Cincinnati with her husband, Mike. Etta was always very fond of Mike, who was always willing to help her with any technology problem that she had around the house, and later when she needed more caregiving, he was always willing and ready to care for her. She was preceded in death by her nine siblings, Paul, Don, Bill, Bob, David, Charles, and Jim Atyeo, Mary White, and Ruth McMillan. She was very fortunate to have numerous nieces and nephews. Etta had many hobbies that she loved, especially knitting, cooking, reading, and traveling with friends. She was a wonderful mother and friend who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Etta is also survived by numerous friends she traveled with, her wonderful church family, and all of her caregivers at the facility she was at. A Service will be held at 11am on Friday, October 23, 2026 at Faith Church, 1877 Millville Avenue, Hamilton with Pastor Jeremy Pruett officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. Robert “Bob” Lee Straub, age 66, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on June 19, 1960, to the late John Straub Sr. and Nellie (Gray) Straub. Bob worked for over 27 years as an Inventory Specialist for Rumpke. On January 4, 1987, Bob married his beloved wife, Susan (Holden) Straub, and together they built a family filled with love and lasting memories. Bob is survived by his wife, Susan; his children, Kristina (James) Angne and their children, Xavier, Phoenix, Xion, Alessa, and Alex; Kim (Jay Bilodeau) Straub and their children, Kylee and Stevi; Tabitha (Tim) Maklem and their children, John and Robert; and Jeff (Paige) Straub and their son, Dean. He is also survived by his siblings, Cliff (Teri) Straub, Cheryl (Scott) Stoll, and Sonya (Norm) Williamson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Betty Jane Scrivner, age 93 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026. She was born in Liberty, IN on September 6, 1933, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Bessie Belden. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1951 and upon graduating, was employed at the Mosler Safe Company for nine years. On August 16, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Leroy, who preceded her in death on September 3, 2024 after 72 years of marriage. She was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God and part of the staff for 29 years, which she always felt was a great blessing and honor to be a part of. Betty is survived by her son, Terry (Mary) Scrivner; daughter, Judith Scrivner; grandchildren, Matthew Miracle and Megan (Nick) Kraft; sister, Sharon Click; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Nancy Marie Miracle; and brother, Fred Belden. A Visitation will be held from 12pm until 1pm on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Bernard “Bernie” Meiser, age 69 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born on April 13, 1957 in Cincinnati, the son of the late James and Helen (Schulte) Meiser. Bernie graduated from Moeller High School in 1975 and worked as a machinist for many years. On April 8, 2000, he married his wife of 26 years, Cheryl (Crooker) Meiser, in Saylor Park. Bernie is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Ian Meiser and Misty Kleier; grandchildren, Devin Kleier, Caleb Kleier, Elizabeth “Gracie” Kleier, and George Meiser; and siblings, James “Jim” (Mary Ann) Meiser, Donald “Don” (Kathy) Meiser, Herb Meiser, and Theresa (Adolfo) Olivas. Brenda Carol Yancey-Napier of Seven Mile, passed away peacefully at Glen Meadows in Hamilton. She was born to Earl and Opal (Strunk) Yancey of Hazard, Kentucky, and was a proud graduate of Seven Mile High School. Brenda later retired after a life filled with hard work, family, and love. Brenda was a woman who loved hard. Her heart was always open, and family was at the center of everything she did. She loved Jesus deeply and found great joy in caring for and raising babies. She had a special way of making the people around her feel loved, cared for, and at home. Brenda also had a love for the beach and Florida. Some of her happiest memories were made in the sunshine, surrounded by the people she loved. Those memories, especially the ones made together in Florida, will be treasured by her family forever. Brenda is survived by her sister, Karen (Dave) Tillett; step-daughter, Melissa Napier; grandchildren, Elizabeth Clemmons, Vicki Wright, Jillian (Seth) Baker, John Helton, Jerry Lee (Gracie) Helton, Jackson Helton, Todd Scott, James Scott, Joseph Scott, Amber Brainard, Brittany Hester, and Jeremy Clemmons; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Ethan, Kylie, Ezekiel, Asher, Adley, Kinsley, and Kurtis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Josh (Michelle) Yancey, Jennifer (Keith) Bowling, David (Jennifer) Tillett, Michael (Christy) Tillett, Shannon Yancey, Brett (Patti) Yancey, Brian (Kristen) Yancey, and Tina Perry; along with many other family members and loved ones who were blessed to know her. Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Napier; daughter, Christa Clemmons; sons, Tim Clemmons and James Clemmons; very beloved niece and nephew, Nicole and Jessi Vollet; sister, Earlene (Bob) Stacy; brothers, Ronnie (Vicki) Yancey and Fred (Gladys) Yancey; and niece, Kimberly Hendrix. Though her absence leaves an ache that words cannot describe, her family finds comfort knowing that Brenda is no longer suffering and has crossed the banks of Jordan, where she is reunited with the ones she loved and, most importantly, is in the presence of her Savior. Her family will carry her love, her strength, her memories, and the lessons she taught them for generations to come. Our thoughts are with the family of Richard McAdams Sr. during their time of loss.

Richard Scott McAdams Sr., 93, passed away peacefully at Westover Retirement Community in Hamilton, Ohio, surrounded by his family. Born in Hillsboro, Ohio, Richard “Dick” spent his early childhood in Hillsboro and Kobe, Japan. After graduating from Howe Military School in Indiana, he attended Miami University, where he joined the Air Force ROTC program. He graduated in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in business and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Richard spent his career in the insurance business. He worked for Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, was a partner for Insurance Securities Inc. in Hamilton, and owned Freimeyer Insurance Agency in Rockledge, Florida. Throughout his life, Richard was actively involved in his community. He was an officer of Griesmer Inc., a land development company in Fairfield, Ohio. He served on the board of trustees of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton, La Lumiere School in LaPorte, Indiana, and the Hamilton Community Foundation. Richard chose Key West, Florida, for his last career move and lived there for 12 years. During that time, he worked as an insurance agent and later in sales and rentals for Conch Electric Cars. He became a familiar presence on Duval Street at Mangoes and Caroline’s and was affectionately known as Mister Richard and The Mayor of Key West. Richard had a great smile, a quick wit and a positive outlook on life. He thrived on being with people and learning about their lives. Above all, Richard adored his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He truly loved spending time with his family and took advantage of every opportunity to do so. He is survived by his former wife and forever companion, Anne Griesmer McAdams; children, Richard Scott McAdams Jr. (Susan), John Griesmer McAdams, Sarah McAdams (Tim Sofranko), and William Griesmer McAdams; grandchildren, Alyson (Anish Kumar), Patrick, Sean, Megan (Tyler Po***ck), Kate Hershberger (Eric Young), Annie Hershberger (Trevor Ramer), Jack and James; and great-granddaughter, Keira Kumar. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Vernon McAdams and Claribel McDermott McAdams; brothers, Louis (Barbara) McAdams and Kenneth (Jane) McAdams; cousin, James (Emily) Inch Scott Jr.; and brother-in-law, John (Diane) Vance Griesmer. Community was very important to Richard, and his family is thankful to the communities that embraced him in recent years and became part of his daily life: the morning coffee group at the Hamilton West Side McDonald’s; the baristas at The Daily Grind and True West Coffee; and his loyal friends and bartenders at The Avenue in Lindenwald. Additionally, the family is forever grateful to the incredible staff at Westover Retirement Community and its tireless and compassionate nursing team, as well as the wonderful staff at Suncrest Hospice for their care and support. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 1pm until 3pm at Westover Retirement Community - Cullen Hall, 855 Stahlheber Road, Hamilton, Ohio. In keeping with their dad’s wishes, the family will also gather for a special celebration of his life in Key West. Janet B. (Ervin) Stone, age 81, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with her daughters at her bedside. Born in Butler County, Ohio on January 9, 1945, she was the daughter of George “Bill” and Ida Ervin. On April 22, 1967, Janet married the love of her life, John “Douglas” Stone. They shared 39 devoted years of marriage until his passing in July 2006. Janet’s life was defined by her deep love for her family, her quiet strength, and her unwavering kindness. She is survived by her three children, Michele Stone of Raleigh, North Carolina, Sheri Stone of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Jerry D. Stone of Durham, North Carolina. She also leaves behind her two beloved grand puppies, Teddy and Ida Mae; her brother, Kenneth Ervin; her sister, Judith Ervin; and her “best friend in the whole world,” Ms. Toni Spruill. Allyson Marie Waits, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. She was born on November 21, 1971 in Silver Spring, MD, the daughter of David B. Waits and the late Sandra Matthies Waits. Allyson is survived by her father, David and his wife Elizabeth Waits; step-mother, Susan Clair; daughter, Morgan Maguire and her fiancé Taylor Norris; son, Jaxson Jiga; partner and the father of Jaxson, John Jiga; step-daughter, Martha Maguire; sister, Amanda Waits; step-brother, Douglas Meddings; cousin, Jillian Lichtenberg; and numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra; step-sister, Kimberly Brenner; and half-sister, Jennifer Waits.
