Jordan, age 37, went on to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Throughout his life, Jordan’s family always came first. Jordan was not your typical LSU fan, everyone who knew him, recognized that his love for LSU was as big as his heart. Watching an LSU game wasn’t the same unless his family was there with him. Any day of the week was a good time for him to grab a loved one to play a video game. Jordan enjoyed getting out for trips with his lovely family; especially for a trip to “Our Spot”, which is downtown Pensacola, Florida. Pastor Carl Kelly has been a lifelong friend and mentor. Later in Jordan’s life, he developed and nurtured a deep friendship with Pastor Paul Bradford who dearly loved Jordan. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jordan is survived by his loving wife, Kayla Smiley Richardson; daughters, Kylie Richardson, and Maisyn Richardson; son, Jace Richardson; mother, Lisa Conner (Harold); father, Timothy Richardson (Melissa); sister, Gabrielle Pitts (T. J.); brother, Greg Serigny (Amanda), Jeff McCarroll (Anastasia), Caleb Serigny, and Raymond Dozier (Wiktoria); grandmothers, Lavern Yates (Devon) and Kay Hoffman; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews that he loved dearly.

Jeannie, age 84, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 15, 2026. For over 45 years, she was a dancing teacher and owner of The Dancingly Yours Dance Studio. She truly loved and cherished each and every dancing student she ever taught. During her tenure, Jeannie held numerous Board Certifications from National Dance Associations, and she was the very first teacher in the United States to graduate from The Dance Masters of America School in New York City. Growing up her mother, Lillian Cates was her greatest supporter and influencer. Jeannie’s family always came first. She loved to travel with her husband and family, especially to either the beach to see her Florida relatives or travels to north Louisiana to visit with more relatives, as well as trips to the casino with her husband Mike and their friends. Most likely her favorite time was spent fishing with Mike, just the two of them on the river fishing. Jeannie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

This Thompson Team Tuesday, we’re proud to spotlight Morgan Billiot, our Operations Manager, Funeral Director, and Embalmer, who has been part of the Thompson Team for 12 years!

Morgan lives in Springfield with her husband, Gavin, and their son, Silas. She’s also a proud big sister to Jessie and Avery. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her family, and starting a new book. 📚

Over the past 12 years, Morgan has become an invaluable part of our team. She is a natural leader, a trusted mentor, and someone her coworkers can count on. Her organization, professionalism, and compassionate approach to serving families make a difference every day. She leads by example and is always willing to share her knowledge and help others grow.

We are incredibly grateful for Morgan’s dedication, leadership, and the care she brings to the families we serve. Thank you, Morgan, for 12 wonderful years of being part of the Thompson Team! 🤍

Leighton earned her angel wings on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Our sweet baby girl was with us for only six short weeks, but in that time, she filled our hearts with more love than words could ever express. Though her time here was far too brief, the joy she brought into our lives will stay with us forever. Her tiny hands, sweet face, and precious presence will always be treasured. Leighton was loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words can say. Forever our little girl, forever in our hearts, and never forgotten.

She is survived by her parents, Madison Howes and Donovon Laiche; brother, Brantlee Ryland Woods; grandparents, Alysha and Charlie Howes, Misty and Corey Bangs; aunts, Savana Bangs, Jaydn Howes; and uncles, Austin Taylor (Madelyn) and Brady Howes.

Leighton is preceded in death by her grandfather, Daren Michael Laiche; and great-grandfather, Wayne Richard Howes.

A private graveside service was held at Sandhill Cemetery.

Danny Keith Christian, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a legacy that will continue through the lives he touched.

Danny shared 48 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Brenda Gautreaux Christian. Together, they built a life and a family filled with years of memories, love, and shared experiences. Their enduring marriage stands as a testament to the life they built together.

He was a proud father to his daughters, Jessica Lynn Christian and Dori Christian Hull, and a beloved father-in-law to Matt Deason and Russell Hull. His love extended to his three granddaughters, Elliette Adel Hull, McKenley Deason, and Riley Deason, who brought another special dimension to his life. His family was an important part of his story, and the love he gave them will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Known affectionately to many as “Big Dan,” Danny was a kind, gentle, and humble man with a heart as big as his name. Beneath his stature was a true teddy bear, someone whose warmth could be felt in his presence and whose hugs had a way of making everything feel a little better. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Paw Paw, and a treasured presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His gentle spirit, quiet strength, and genuine kindness will be remembered always.

Sherman, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Sherman was a Catholic, God-fearing man whose faith and love for his family were at the center of his life. He was a one-of-a-kind man who left his mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. A proud Cajun man, Sherman knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. Give him some good friends, a cold Busch b**r, some Swamp Pop playing in the background, and he was good to go. Sherman spent his working years in the construction field as a sheetrock hanger, and there was no doubt about his talent. To those who knew his work, he was a “Sheetrock God.” He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and a devoted NASCAR fan. But above all else, Sherman loved his family. He was lovable, kind, generous, and fun. He will be forever loved and missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.

William "Bill" Bennett Cory
Bill, age 83, passed away peacefully in north Georgia on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. He dedicated 40 years of public school teaching in Tangipahoa Parish. After retiring from teaching, he drove for Council On Aging, and taught the GED program in the parish prison. Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served from 1963-1967. Anyone who knew Bill knew he would give you the shirt off his back, and loved to tell his stories from teaching and his days in the army. Bill loved to hike in the mountains, kayak, fish, camp, and loved anything to do with the outdoors. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather who is already dearly missed by all those that love him.

William is survived by his brother Robert "Bob" Cory; and his 2 sons, Walter Cory and Robert Cory; grandsons Noah, Nicholas, Brayden, and Angel; and great-grandson, Taysom.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Freddie Gulotta Cory; brothers, Walter Cory, "Ronnie" Dick Cory, and sister, Ellen Cory Davis.
