Yesterday, I had the pleasure of providing free blood pressure and blood sugar checks at Emmanuel SDA Church.

I was encouraged to see that the majority of blood sugar readings were within normal range. However, my heart was heavy as I encountered many individuals with extremely elevated blood pressure levels. Several readings were triple-digit over triple-digit, and a number of individuals were even symptomatic.

Do you know your numbers? Do you understand the serious impact uncontrolled blood pressure can have on your heart, brain, kidneys, and overall health?

Hypertension is often called the “silent killer” for a reason—it can progress quietly until serious complications occur.
