AAC isn’t just a device. It’s a voice. 🗣️

A way to share thoughts.
A way to make choices.

Being non-speaking doesn’t mean having nothing to say. Every child has a voice, a personality, and a story worth sharing.

Every child deserves a way to communicate.
Every voice deserves to be heard.

💬 October is AAC Awareness Month! 💙

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication and includes all the ways we communicate beyond spoken words. AAC can look like picture boards, gestures, communication books, or high-tech speech generating devices that allow individuals to select pictures, symbols, or words to express themselves. 📱💬

AAC gives individuals who have difficulty communicating verbally a way to express their wants, needs, thoughts, feelings, and so much more! 💕At Happy Hands, we believe every child deserves a voice and the opportunity to be heard. AAC does not prevent speech from developing; instead, it can support language development and help children communicate more independently.

✨ There is no one-size-fits-all approach to communication. Every voice matters, and every form of communication counts! ✨

🎉Happy 1 Year to our sweet Mrs. Kelsey!🎉

We are so lucky to have such a kind, caring, and talented SLP on our Happy Hands team! Mrs. Kelsey is truly one of those people who is always willing to help, teach, encourage, and lend a hand whenever someone needs it. She has such a heart for the kids and brings so much patience, understanding, and positivity into every session!🥰

She is amazing at meeting each child where they are and making therapy fun, engaging, and encouraging. We love watching the relationships she builds with her kiddos and the way she celebrates every little accomplishment along the way!

And, of course, you can pretty much always count on Mrs. Kelsey having her Sweet Tart Ropes or cookie dough on hand! 😂🍪

🎉 Happy 1 Year, Caitie! 🎉

Help us celebrate Caitie’s first year at Happy Hands! From greeting everyone at the front desk to keeping up with all things insurance, Caitie does so much to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes!

She’s always willing to help, has the sweetest personality, and is someone we can count on. She also takes care of our Birthday Club, making sure everyone gets a little extra love and feels special when their birthday rolls around! 🎂💕

And, of course, we have to mention her adorable desk full of tiny trinkets and mini things! 🥹✨ It’s such a cute reflection of Caitie and all the little details that make her, her!

We’re so thankful for everything you do for our team and our families, Caitie! We’re lucky to have you!
