Me, Myself, and I ain’t always on the same team.
Everybody quotes that phrase like it’s peaceful. Like solitude is soft.
But sit with yourself long enough and you’ll find out — it’s not solitude. It’s a wrestling match.
Me wants to protect you. Myself wants to numb you. And I? I’m just trying to survive whichever one wins today.
Every man carrying grief he never buried, ambition he never fed, and a version of himself he had to choke out just to function — you already know this fight. You just didn’t have the language for it.
Healing isn’t when the wrestling stops. It’s when you stop being ashamed that it’s happening.
You’re not crazy for feeling like three different men live in your body. You’re just finally paying attention.
