Why does my monument take so long? Why does it cost so much?
You mean they make them by hand?

All valid questions until you see the work that is involved in any part of the process. From cutting stone from the ground in huge blocks, cutting and polishing, shaping the stone to sandblasting or etching the name the process is labor intensive.

Serving families during a difficult time means advocating for them. I just reached out to a Cemetery/Monument Company/Funeral Home to get their rules and regulations on behalf of a family I'm helping. Instead of just giving me the guidelines, the cemetery used that information to text the family directly—while they were sitting in my office—begging for their monument business. There is a time, a place, and a standard of professionalism we should all uphold, and this completely missed the mark.

Families have the right to purchase anywhere they choose, while we hope they choose our services we understand people make decisions for various reasons. We respect the families we work with and will not ambulance chase them or you for your business.

Update: I did speak with the manager of the monument company and he apologized and said he would be speaking with his team next week.
