Besides helping behind the scenes at Delta Yoga this summer, Lyla is also offering art commissions! She painted the mountain mural at the studio!

Lastly, if you know anyone who needs a babysitter, she can help! She has her own car and will be a high school senior this year. She has experience babysitting, and was a summer camp counselor last summer.

👋 Welcome, Jasmine to the yoga team at Delta Yoga!

Jasmine began practicing yoga several years ago, and what started as a personal practice slowly grew into a deeper passion for movement, mindfulness, and the connection between body and mind. Through yoga, she has found more grounding, presence, and ease both on and off the mat.

She loves bringing a balance of flow, fun, and grounding energy into her classes so students can leave feeling more connected, capable, and at home in their bodies. Her teaching style is warm, approachable, and intentional, with an emphasis on moving with breath, building strength, and slowing down when needed.

Jasmine hopes to create a space where students feel comfortable exploring their practice, listening to their bodies, and honoring where they are each day. Outside of yoga, Jasmine enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, and spending time with her dogs, family, and friends.

Delta Yoga Studio offers yin yoga every Thursday at 7PM.

Is it hard?
Is it easy?

We like to think of yin as a deep practice of connecting mind to body, during which the speed of one’s thoughts slows down throughout the course of the class.

All poses are done seated, kneeling, or lying down on the back or tummy. It depends if you consider this “harder” or “easier,” and truly, it’s not important to label it.

Many people experience little breakthroughs in yin yoga… quiet moments to yourself, where a deep acceptance takes hold, or a new idea plants its roots.

The classroom is low-lit, the music is wordless and smooth, and the instructor speaks softly, acting as your yoga guide.

It’s a wonderful class to add to your weekly routine. You’ll get an entire hour to yourself to melt into the mat and comb out a tangle of thoughts or loosen knots in your back.

Physically, it improves stiffness in ligaments and tendons, and releases fascia, which helps your body move better overall.
