Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
One of the most compassionate things we can learn is the difference between capability and capacity.
You may be capable of holding it all together, caring for everyone else, saying yes, pushing through, and carrying more than your share. Maybe you learned to show up this way in relationships from a young age. Maybe it didn’t always feel like a choice, but was about survival & out of necessity.
Over time, your nervous system cannot sustain doing it all without taking a toll on your emotional, physical & spiritual well-being.
Healing isn’t about becoming more capable.
Sometimes it’s about honoring your limits, saying no, protecting your energy, and trusting that rest is productive too.
🤍 Your worth isn’t measured by how much you can carry or how much you do for others. Learning to honor your own capacity is a radical, courageous act of self-love amid a world that has taught you to abandon yourself for the greater good. Sometimes doing less, pausing more with curiosity is where the growth happens.
