Hello friends!

I recently took sometime away from this page due to having my daughter, Cora, in May, but I am back to hopefully reach others in their journey of parenthood.
This has been an up and down battle of learning my daughters cues, as well as, learning about the world of breastfeeding. I am learning that nothing is ever as it seems and even when one thing seems as though it is going right, it can always take a turn.
I understand more now than ever the need for this line of work. It can be overwhelming for everyone involved and even just offering a listening ear or a helping hand can change the whole process.
I am fortunate to have so many friends and family helping me, but I understand that this is not always an option. I am available from the months of July to August, so please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Ties can often be overlooked by the health care system due to it being seen as a "fad" or "insignificant", but the impact that they can have on a breastfeeding parent can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Babies with ties have more difficulty self-soothing and will often have high needs due to gas pain and lack of restful sleep.
Hospitals are putting restrictions on IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) with regards to even mentioning ties. Instead of families being able to make an informed decision with all the necessary information, families will be left wondering why breastfeeding is not going well. Which, in turn results in seeking help elsewhere or not getting help at all.
Ask questions. Make informed decisions. Always trust that just because it is "common" does not mean it is "normal".

Our bodies are amazing. Every mother has their own experience and challenges with breastfeeding whether that’s 1 to 3 months, 6 months to years. Whatever you choose, fed is always best.

A postpartum doula can be a helpful hand at navigating the world of breastfeeding. While providing helpful knowledge or even just supporting you through with encouragement.
Breast pumps can also be uncharted waters that can seem overwhelming, but through having someone there to answer your questions or even recommend an alternative, it can make a world of a difference.

Just attended my first lactation class at Relief Parenting in North Hampton NH. It was very informative and influential for someone who is an Postpartum Doula in Progress. I would recommend anyone who is interested in getting some rest and in need of any sort of support to try one of the many options that they provide! Looking forward to also using my new “boobie ball” to demonstrate proper latching too new clients! (Which you can also buy while you are there)

Hi my name is Hannah and I am a trying to start my career and passion as a Postpartum Doula. I hope to help in the beautiful beginning of introducing a new baby or plan on growing the family even more. At a young age I always loved being around children and as I got older I began to not only want to have a career with children, but to be a part of what can be a challenging time for parents. As doulas, we help to encourage the bond of baby and family, as well as, help to give parents time to get a shower in or just to take a minute to have a break. We are there to listen and to encourage whatever you have planned for your family and I hope with my help, I can give resources and answers to any questions you may have, all while spending time with your newest addition and family.
