Our community gathered at Marcella Post Acute for the Service Anew Flag Raising Ceremony, paying tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our veterans.

Special thanks to guest speakers Hampton City Councilwoman Michelle Ferebee and Chief Warrant Officer 4 Darrell Busquets of the Virginia Army National Guard for helping make this occasion meaningful.

Through Service Anew’s Mission to Recovery, we’re proud to support veterans on their journey toward healing, recovery, and renewed purpose. Thank you to our veterans, guests, and everyone who joined us in honoring those who have served.

From arriving in a wheelchair to walking, Jerry Ward’s progress is worth celebrating! 👏

During his rehabilitation stay at Marcella, Jerry enjoyed working with the therapy team and using the stationary bicycle. He shared that therapy helped him regain his strength.

By discharge, Jerry was walking with a rolling walker, demonstrating improved strength, mobility, and stability.

Congratulations, Jerry! We wish you continued progress and many happy moments with your family.

The Marcella team enjoyed visiting the Hampton Senior Citizen Center to introduce our rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. We also shared information about our new program for eligible Veterans through the VA and discussed how Marcella can support their healthcare and rehabilitation needs.
