A huge THANK YOU to the Clayton County Police Department, Stockbridge Police Department, Lake City Police Department - Georgia, and City of Fayetteville Public Safety for welcoming SCSAC-CAC to your National Night Out events on August 4th!

We were honored to connect with so many community members, share info about our services, provide educational and outreach materials, as well as hand out pencil pouches filled with a few school supplies to help students get ready for the new school year.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, and helped make the evening such a success. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with our local law enforcement agencies as we work together to build safer communities.

We had an incredible time last week with the teens at the Stockbridge Police Department's Teen Police Academy!

Our team was honored to present on Sexting, Cyberbullying, and Teen Dating Violence, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to recognize unhealthy relationship behaviors, identify red flags, and stay safe both online and offline.

One of the biggest highlights, the interactive "STAY or LEAVE?" activity, was facilitated by our Education & Outreach Coordinator, Andrea. Teens worked through realistic dating scenarios and decided whether they would stay in or leave a relationship as behaviors escalated from jealousy and controlling actions to manipulation, aggression, and physical abuse. The activity sparked thoughtful discussions, encouraged critical thinking, and reminded participants that everyone deserves a relationship built on respect and safety.

A heartfelt thank you to the Stockbridge Police Department for inviting Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center to participate in both the Teen Police Academy and BridgeKidz Safety Week earlier this summer. We are grateful for community partnerships that prioritize prevention, education, and empowering young people to build healthy relationships.
