Mental Health Awareness is something we should talk about more often, not less.
Not everyone is okay all the time, and that’s normal. People can be struggling while still showing up to work, smiling in photos, or taking care of everyone else. You never really know what someone is carrying behind the scenes.
Check on your strong friends. Check on your quiet friends. And don’t forget to check on yourself too.
It’s okay to not be okay, but it’s also okay to ask for help. Healing isn’t linear, and you don’t have to go through it alone.
Be kind. Be patient. And most of all, be understanding. You never know how much your words or a simple “I’m here for you” can mean to someone.
