These two started their journey with us as helping hands, then took the next big step by joining our C.N.A class - and now they are officially CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS! 👏

We are so proud of the dedication, hard work, and heart they have shown throughout this journey. They have grown so much, and we are excited to see all the wonderful things they will accomplish in their new roles! ❤️

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟

Today we're shining the spotlight on one of the amazing members of our team, Julia! 💜

Julia is our assistant dietary manager here at HNRC. She has been in long term care for 26 years and she says that is simply because she loves working with the ederly.

Her favorite part about working at HNRC is that she is always treated like family. 😊

We asked Julia if she had any advice for new members joining HNRC and she said her advice is to be patient, kind, and always work as a team.

Julia said one thing her coworkers may not about her is that when she goes on her trips, it takes her over a month to unpack.

We are so thankful to have you as part of our team! 💐

Your dedication, kindness, and hard work make a difference every single day. Thank you for everything you do for your residents and coworkers. 🧡

💍💒 A Sweet Celebration at Hanceville Nursing & Rehab! 💒💍
Today, we got to celebrate TWO very special members of our Hanceville Nursing & Rehab family as they said “I do!” ❤️
Instead of keeping the celebration all to themselves, they thoughtfully sent beautiful wedding cakes to the facility so our residents and staff could share in their special day! 🎂💕 And they even stopped by to let us celebrate with them in person!
We are so honored to have been included in such a beautiful moment and grateful for the kindness and thoughtfulness they showed our Hanceville family.

☀🎨 A fun-filled Friday at HNRC! 🎨☀

We had a wonderful day filled with creativity, sweet treats, and a litle Elvis! 💜

🎨 10:00 AM: An art teacher joined us for a fun art activity! Our residents got to be creative and enjoyed some time expressing themselves through art. 🖌🎨

🍊 2:00 PM: We cooled off with delicious Creamsicles while enjoying an Elvis movie! 🎶🍦👑

Nothing beats a day filled with smiles, laughter, and good company! ❤️

☀🐾 DOG DAYS OF SUMMER! 🐾☀

We're keeping the summer fun going with a sweet 2 PM snack!

🎶💃 A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION, A LITTLE MORE CELEBRATION! 💃🎶

Our residents had a "Blue Suede Shoes" kind of Monday.

🕙 10 AM: We got moving with our morning exercises! 💪🎶 Our residents worked those muscles, stretched it out, and had plenty of fun along the way.

🍞 2PM: It was time for sandwhiches & Elvis music. 👑🎤 We enjoyed some delicious sandwhiches, good company, and a whole lot of fun for the King! ❤

There's nothing better than a day filled with movement, laughter, good food, and great memories! 🥰

Our residents sure know how to make everyday a celebration! ❤

✨ Volunteer Spotlight ✨

Today, we're shining the spotlight on one of the wonderful volunteers we have here at HNRC. Her name is Patricia and we are so thankful for the time she gives to the resident's, but also the kindness and heart she shows them as well. ☀️

Patricia said one thing that she learned from volunteering is that is takes an army of people to provide personal care for the residents, feed them, do their laundry, and plan activities so make sure you always show appreciation!

Building relationships and getting to know the names and a little about each resident and employee is the most rewarding thing about volunteering for Patricia. She says all of her new best friends are over 75!

When we asked her what inspired her to get involved, she stated that she wanted her mother to know she was not moved to HNRC and forgotten. She also wanted to get to know those who are providing her mom's care. She follows that by saying her mother is now happier than she been in decades because she loves the other residents and activities. ❤

Patricia's advice to anyone looking to volunteer at HNRC in the future is that there are some residents who are rarely visited. A few games of dominoes or UNO bring laughter or a welcome break. Sharing a meal, listening to a story, pushing a resident to an activity or back to their room are all opportunities for making the residents' lives a little brighter. Try volunteering - you will not regret it!

We are incredibly grateful for the time and love you pour into our residents Patricia! Your kindness makes a difference, and we are so thankful to have you as a part of our community! 🌼

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟

Congratulations to Lacey for getting employee spotlight!

Lacey plays a huge role here at HNRC in the housekeeping/laundry department. She says what she enjoys most about it is that she gets to help make residents happy and to make sure our residents have clean rooms and clothes.

She has been employed with us for 9 years and her favorite things about it are working with coworkers and helping residents.

In her free time she enjoys to journal and read.

Lacey said her advice to any any new team member would be to be yourself and work hard. She also says to always enjoy the little things.

Congratulations Lacey. We are so thankful for the hard work you put into HNRC. ❤️

We were excited to provide our staff with the opportunity to pick six school supplies at no cost to help prepare for the new school year. Supporting our team both at work and at home is just one small way we like to show our appreciation.
