On this day, 18 years ago, we were entrusted with the care of Panebaker Funeral Home and the families it served for generations. After a combined 86 years in the funeral profession, we have made the decision to retire. On May 11th, we officially passed ownership of both Panebaker Funeral Home and Loyal Companion Pet Cremation to Kuhn Family Funeral Homes.
It was very important to us to find new owners who understand and value the vital role that small businesses play within a community. One of the most special aspects of Panebaker Funeral Home is its long tradition of husband and wife ownership teams. From Paul and Geraldine Panebaker, to Craig and Renate Johnston, and then to our family, the business has been carefully guided, protected, and nurtured through generations. We are honored to now entrust that legacy to Michael and Rachel Kuhn and their family.
While ownership has changed, our commitment to the community will remain unchanged. The dedicated teams at Panebaker Funeral Home and Loyal Companion Pet Cremation will continue providing the compassionate and exemplary service you deserve and have come to expect.
As we begin this next chapter, we are grateful for where God has led us and for the opportunities ahead to continue serving others in new ways. The relationships we have built in this community have been deeply meaningful to us, both professionally and as a family. We will always cherish the trust, support, and friendships that the people of the Hanover area have given to us.
We know that this community will embrace the Kuhn family just as it embraced us 18 years ago. We pass the legacy with complete confidence that the trusted name, compassionate care, and exceptional service upon which Panebaker Funeral Home and Loyal Companion Pet Cremation were built will continue for many years to come.
Blessings always,
Michael & Kristin
