Blood Drive at Kendal at Hanover!

The American Red Cross will be at Kendal at Hanover on Monday, September 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and we’re looking for donors!

Help us spread the word: we are hiring a full-time Registered Occupational Therapist!

Depending on candidate availability, the person in this role will work either 32 or 40 hours per week, and no weekend work is required! You must be a graduate of an accredited OT program, have an active Occupational Therapist license in the state of New Hampshire, and have at least 2 years of experience working with older adults.

💛 What an incredible Prouty weekend for Team Kendal! 💛

Our residents, staff, families, and friends came together once again to make a meaningful difference by supporting life-saving cancer research and patient care through The Prouty for the Dartmouth Cancer Center.

This year, Team Kendal brought together more than 50 participants and raised over $40,000, thanks in part to the Byrne family's generous matching gift, with even more donations still coming in!

The day began with many of our team members gathering for breakfast at our Cafe before heading out to participate. At our Reception Water Station, we welcomed hundreds of 3K and 10K walkers, offering refreshments, encouragement, and enjoying the wonderful music of the Upper Valley Community Band.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, participated, or cheered from the sidelines. Your generosity and enthusiasm are helping bring hope to patients and families throughout our region.

Together, we are making a difference.

Wear Your Pride Day

To celebrate Pride Month, residents and staff at Kendal at Hanover came together on June 30 by wearing bright rainbow colors in recognition of Wear Your Pride Day.
The colorful display reflected our community’s support for the loved ones, friends, neighbors, and colleagues who identify as LGBTQ+. It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate inclusion, respect, and the value of creating a welcoming community where everyone belongs.

Residents and staff recently enjoyed a special visit from Advance Transit (AT), which brought one of its buses to campus for an interactive, hands-on learning experience.
The event gave participants the opportunity to step aboard, explore the bus, ask questions, and learn more about AT's free transportation options available throughout the Upper Valley.
AT staff also provided personalized assistance, demonstrating how to use the AT website and mobile app to plan trips, find routes, and access real-time transit information.
More than just a bus visit, the event helped residents build confidence in using public transportation while discovering new ways to stay active, independent, and connected to the community.

We’re proud to celebrate an incredible milestone!
In May, our team underwent the New Hampshire Department of Health & Human Services Assisted Living Clinical Survey. Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate a 100% deficiency-free survey!
Staff were greeted throughout the day by various managers with special treats and jubilation.
This achievement reflects the unwavering commitment, teamwork, and dedication to excellence shown every day by our staff. From compassionate care to high-quality service, this team goes above and beyond for the people we serve.

KaH is Seeing Red ❤️
Our KaH community showed up in red for National Wear Red Day on Feb. 6, standing together to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and support the life-saving work of the American Heart Association. From residents to staff, it’s inspiring to see how our community comes together for such worthy causes. ❤️🫶

🎁 Holiday Cheer in Action! 🎄

On December 18, Kendal at Hanover was filled with laughter, generosity, and plenty of festive spirit as residents and staff came together to assemble 150 holiday gift bags for the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSSC). Each bag—thoughtfully packed with cozy essentials like gloves and socks, handy flashlights, and a few extra treats—was created to bring warmth and cheer to Meals on Wheels clients throughout our community.

“Being able to share these gift bags with Meals on Wheels recipients is a heartfelt way to care for our wider community and add a bit of joy to the holiday season,” said Beth Vettori, CEO of Kendal at Hanover. “It speaks to the deep sense of kindness and connection that our residents and staff bring to this time of year.”

The gift bags were picked up by GCSSC staff and will be shared this holiday season through their Meals on Wheels program.

We are grateful to partner with to help make the holidays a little brighter and warmer for our neighbors. 💕
